Internal polling is far worse than public polling.

You've got think that they're looking for a reason or scapegoat to push the election out. Cling to power for another year and hope to turn things around?

More and more I am starting to believe that the greatest threat to modern humanity is the Dunning-Kruger effect. It acts very much like a highly contagious virus (largely due to social media) and is either directly or indirectly responsible for the death of likely millions, maybe more.
It's possibly a genetic failsafe intended to rid the gene pool of stupid people that we have over-ridden with modern science, ironically.

Delay the election for self-serving purposes?
That's an extremely risky move and could backfire into oblivion.
So in other words, the UCP will probably support it.

Do you believe in seat belts? It's a law to wear seatbelts because while you may not value the protection it provides, it's not fair to have other people have to take care of you when you get hurt because you weren't wearing a seatbelt.
When the hospitals are full, we can't have anymore Super Saiyan brilliant people like yourself needing more hospital care. It also absolutely does decrease transmission. This has been litigated ad nauseum, and you clearly aren't interested in a serious conversation about it

It's a party with 3 letters that has the best chance of saving us from this horrible, awful, incompetent party of selfish, ignorant, moronic, criminal gang of losers that seem determined to ruin everything that makes us Canadians.
Any other questions?

So you hated the vaccine mandates? You hate them so much that in this thread you called for the unvaccinated to get 'retribution'. Against who? Because it was the UCP that created all of the provincial mandates. And now, you're going to support the UCP, to prevent the UCP from putting in more mandates or helping the unvaxed get 'retribution'? Does this make sense?
I understand that Smith has a different view on the matter than Kenney did, but seriously, it's the exact same cast of characters (MLAs) behind her. You know, the ones that supported the vaccine mandates or at least sat by during the vaccine mandates.
The mental gymnastics you have to be doing in your head to support the UCP is mind boggling.
It's like how the anti-vaxxers in the US still love Trump. Trump is very pro-vaccine and has even taken credit for their fast approvals. Yet tons of his own supporters denounce the vaccines, especially for their fast approvals. lol
And what the hell does 'retribution' for the unvaxxed even look like for you?
(I'm participating in a discussion with you, because a few days ago several posters got upset with people bashing you. They instead wanted us to discuss with you. So I'm super excited to hear your thoughts on the matter and for the discussion we can both participate in.)

The CBC is continuing to run the Smith interference story. It was not n the news again yesterday and the reporters were interviewed yesterday afternoon and this morning. Clearly they are not intimidated by Smith.

Shandro basically saying at his hearing today that his driveway yelling wasn't driveway yelling it was a polite conversation and that he did not ask the Dr. to take down the meme he posted but that the Dr offered meekly "what should I do, take it down?" Good guy Shandro said "it's up to you" because he didn't want to be forceful. And he did all of this because he and his wife were scared for their safety and were getting death threats to the point where they considered leaving the province. Also the Alberta Medical Association was maliciously trying to take him down because they'll stop at nothing to destroy his political career. Oh and he definitely wasn't crying.

Lots of fun reading Johnny Wakefield summary on twitter, its great that journalists could cover this.
At this point I think it's far more likely than not that the '100s of threats' sent to the Shandros was a self-orchestrated false flag operation. I'm sure this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it is a far less preposterous conspiracy theory than what Shandro alleges against the AMA in the course of those "negotiations" (not really the right word since the gov't was not actually negotiating.

"My wife was getting death threats and we had to take all these steps to the point where we were considering leaving the province. Our tires were slashed, we had to close her office, our kids were crying and our feelings were super hurt."
But no, he wasn't emotional when he went over and had a nice super polite conversation with his neighbour about the meme that he believed was leading to death threats. Shandro didn't even ask him to take it down when he offered, nope. And then the evil AMA got with Charles Rusnell and they took that nice polite conversation and used it to smear his career!
Sure, that adds up..

This just came out today, and given our Premier, and the discussion in this thread, well, it seemed kind of timely to post.

A new report says misinformation about COVID-19 contributed to more than 2,800 Canadian deaths and at least $300 million in hospital and ICU visits.
|
Quote:
The study suggests that the belief that COVID-19 was a "hoax or exaggerated" led to 2.35 million people delaying or refusing to get the vaccine between March and November of 2021.
The report authors estimated that if those vaccinations had happened, there would have been approximately 198,000 fewer cases, 13,000 fewer hospitalizations, and 2,800 fewer deaths from COVID-19 in Canada.
|
Quote:
The actual impact of COVID-19 misinformation is very likely much larger than the report findings show, Himelfarb says, because they only looked at that nine-month period during the pandemic, which has so far lasted for about three years.
The study also didn't include estimated "indirect costs and the ripple costs," he says, such as delayed elective surgeries and treating long-COVID cases.

My thoughts exactly! Would have been best for us all if you had packed up and left.
The post after this one is a perfect example of Shandro's complete inability to follow the law. It might actually protect him, because he's just so fataing stupid that it's impossible for him to obey the law, even during a trial about obeying it.
Highly recommend everyone read the Tyee article about this, does a good job of pointing out how stupid Tyler is.
