It doesn’t matter because I’ve double checked and been told not real.

Nail Yakupov captained Russia at the 2012 world juniors in Calgary and Edmonton (I think), after he was drafted by Edmonton the summer before. And that guy was a ######bag even before he was drafted, and was so much worse after.

I would’ve thought a trade and speculation thread on a dedicated Calgary Flames forum would contain real trade rumours and speculation, silly me.
However, judging the responses I have received, seems some are more into playing guessing games.

These are young but established pieces with a focus on improving the Flames.

The Frost and Farabee trade was deep in the season and a reward to the team for being as competitive as they were. Bringing in mid-20’s players with team control is part of rebuilding the roster. Bahl was 23 when they acquired him a young piece they have now signed for 6 years and is part of the core they are rebuilding with.

I have been on here for 2.5 years and yet to see anyone call a trade before it happened. Besides the one poster who announced the Russian goalie signing in advance. Or a few times scorpion announced things right as they were happening, but we know he has sources.

But if people want to worship the gifs it is fine. I always laugh out loud now when I see a new one posted with 100 people thanking the post. It does bring some much needed comedy.

One of the unique aspects of the internet is the ability to call someone out publicly—but doing so often says more about the person making the comment than the one being targeted. These individuals are simply sharing what they’re hearing, and rather than engaging respectfully, some choose to mock them using GIFs as a way to discredit their input. In reality, SeC often follows up with detailed insights—sometimes lengthy, but hardly something anyone could just fabricate.
