Lol
#### it
Couple mid range spects and have Minny pay half his salary. Two more years of JD sounds good to me.

Donaldson certainly looking for some fellating from Toronto media with his sets of comments over this weekend and the above jersey swap.

Lol. Yeah. He sure played well and was buttering up the crowd pretty good. Maybe he recognizes the Jays need for a 3 bagger and is making his pitch.
JD and some salary retained for Grichuk and a prospect wouldn't be the end of the world.

Considering it's unlikely that Semien would be back, if they can make that deal straight up, it wouldn't be a terrible move. They'll need someone to partially replace the bat that Semien was this year, which JD could do while playing 3. If Biggio can bounce back to being a 800 OPS guy that he had been, that gets them a decently productive bat to play at 2, than they just need to find a platoon Outfielder to replace Grichuck. All this, still should leave some money to either go after Robbie Ray, or try to get a starter and keep the rotation in a way where they can slot Ryu as the 3 or 4 guy.

I wish I could exchange my Donaldson jersey for a Guerrero Jr. one.

Seattle is in Oakland for 4, starting tonight. I feel dirty saying it, but rooting for the Mariners.
The perfect scenario is SEA taking 3 out of 4. That way the Jays remain ahead of both of them, even if they are swept by the Rays.

I feel like there's an automatic W when Ray or Manoah pitch... the other starters, not so much

Matz and Berrios both have better numbers then Manoah over the past 4 weeks

And you also don't know at this point how a guy like Manoah will react to the pressure cooker of playoffs.
Right now my rotation would be
1. Ray
2. Berrios
3. Manoah
4. Matz.

I think the 3 playoff starters (if they get there) are
Ray
Berrios
Manoah
with Matz as the guy when you need to run a 4th
The other thing is that Matz and Ryu could probably handle long relief better than Manoah, at this point.

If Ryu is healthy by the time the postseason starts then I don't see them not giving him a start.
I'm a bit surprised the MLB is still doing a 5-game series for the first round of the playoffs, you'd think they'd want that little bit of extra revenue they'd get from all full playoff round's being 7 game series.

I could definitely see Montoyo going with seniority over results.
But remember what happened to Ryu against the Rays in the playoffs last year?
(spoiler: it wasn't pretty)

I don’t think he would start a Wild Card game…
But he might be your 3rd starter in the best of 5, and I think he’s for sure their 4th starter in a best of 7.
Especially if there is no break between a Wild Card and the best of 5 series. Game 3 could easily be a decision of Ray on short rest, or Ryu, and I could see them going with Ryu in that scenario (depending on what the series is)
