Be a GM mode update - Confirmed RFA and UFA, which means Qualifying offers, and offer sheets. Also, 6 years of draft picks to trade.

Soooo awesome. Now I just hope they properly use the CHL players and put them in the draft for their draft years to limit the Jarome Forsbergs of the world.

i wonder if officially announcing rfa's and such was their big announcement? if so, it sucks as they had made it sound like they had one last thing up their sleeve.

Either way, it's a good look into the Be a GM mode for this year. If this is their big announcment, I'm pleased.

What were you expecting? The RFA and multiple draft picks are a pretty big addition if you ask me

they are big additions. also the fact the draft got longer and you can trade up to 5 assets at a time instead of 3. its by far the biggest upgrade to dynasty mode mechanics in recent memory.

as far as what i am asking for, i have nothing specific. lots are interested in multiplayer dynasty, though i am not specifically. i just had hoped there would be one last surprise whatever it may be. with how many times they have mentioned it in other articles and videos, and how long its taken to get announced, to me it would just be a let down to have it be something that was pretty widely talked about already.

I hope that's actual game play they're showing.

I might be the only guy on the board who is excited for NHL Slapshot. It looks about as good as the graphics on the last NHL game on the Gamecbue and far better than anything that's been available thus far on the Wii. I just hope the gameplay isn't watered-down too much for the sake of being a fun/family/casual game.

I think it's great they did this (although my cynical side would say it's about time).

I just hope the other provisions of the CBA dealing with contracts are present. I don't like how it's done halfway so often in this series.

Also, I am very skeptical that anything substantial has been done with Be a Pro, which is a shame because I spend most of my time there. It gets to be tiresome and lacks substance.

I at least hope we can negotiate our own contracts in this year's version and not have one handed to us!

Yes - this is terrific news. The new physics engine just wasn't enough for me to justify another purchase, but the addition of the Junior Leagues, 6 years worth of picks and (most importantly) RFA/UFA make the Dynasty mode too good to miss out on.

I know I'm not the only one who plays four, five, six seasons of Dynasty. This expanded contract format is a HUGE step towards realistically building/managing a cup winner. EA gets my thanks, for sure!

I doubt if they'd be able to do that for licensing reasons - they'd need approval from the leagues and player's associations (if there even is such a thing at the junior level - if not probably from the individual players).

Well seeing as they already have the CHL rosters in the game I'd say they'll be doing that.
