Every single part of my body hurts. I am drenched in sweat like 20 minutes into each workout. Even the warm-up is painful (maybe this will wear off as I go on). But it's really well constructed and the exercises and in particular the stretches are awesome. I'll wait a week or so before I comment more, but it's a pretty sweet thing to do and requires minimal space, 45 minutes a day, and no equipment. Which is sweet, for a poor student.
But wow, I am in pain.

No weights at all? Some youtube videos claiming to be the "insanity workout" showed the guy doing some weight workouts.
It seems like something I'd be very interested. Definitely keep posting in here with updates.

As far as I can tell it's just a full body cardio workout. Don't expect any results besides aerobics and potential fat loss (depending on your diet). You aren't going to gain strength from it.
Based from what I saw on the infomercial.

Going to be heading back to the gym for the first time in over a month. I've been having muscle problems in and around my left hip, so I've been trying to rest up but it doesn't seem to be improving. Need to work off all the Xmas food and booze.

I bought these Omega 3 softgel capsules from Costco, and they're huge! Am I supposed to swallow these with water, or chew them?

I would love to see you chew a soft gel fish oil but I won't do that to you. You are suppose to swallow them when they are soft gel. Fish Oil is always the biggest pills of the bunch.

LOL, thanks. I'll take it as a good thing that I didn't try and chew them.

Well you can try it but if you do make sure you video tape your face as you get in that first bite.
Just imagine what it would be like to take a fish out of the water and lick it.

Another option for those who can't swallow the larger pills fish oil usually comes in here is another option. Soft chew fish oil.
http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2965533
Now the only down side is the sugar content but the taste is actually pretty good. It's what I would recommend to friends who wanted to get their fish oils but didn't have the swallowing power.
edit: however with practice (where is fotze for the joke?) you will find it easier to swallow. When I first started taking supplements 5-6 years ago I could barely swallow one Multi-Vit at a time. Now I could probably 10-15 different pills in one swoop.

What does fish oil do for ones body?

Fish Oils are one of the and cheapest supplements you can take and it does a number of things for your body some being:
- Improves brain function
- Reduces chances of certain cancers
- Great for your heart/cardiovascular
- Reduces pain/inflammation (so good for joint care when working out)
- Also been known to help with depression, bipolar, etc.
Tons of reasons and benefits to take Fish Oils and the best part is they are pretty cheap. GNC for an example you can get 180-240 (depending if they have a bonus sale) for like $20. So that is 6 to 8 months worth of fish oils since you are recommended to take 2 daily. It is worth investing in a good Fish Oil though because some can be crap!
Oh a couple of other things it does for you outside the body is help with hair/skin health. I've never really had acne in my life but I had read it helps with that as well.
It is a supplement I would recommend especially if you don't eat a lot of fish, as in at least daily. It is one of the few ones I take now and if you had to pick top 3 supplements to take for a healthier body it would be in there along with Multi-Vit's.

There is also some evidence that O3 speeds up the metabolism, burning an additional 400 calories a day.
Not sure if he wants the improved brain function, that'll probably stop him from being a Canucks fan.

My Top 3:
1. Multi-Vit
2. Fish Oil
3. Protein
No particular order but these are a must for me, I take a few other things but would skip them if I had to choose between them and these three.

Protein's not really a supplement; it's a macronutrient, along with fat and carbohydrates.
I only have two:
1) O3
2) Vitamin D

I meant Protein powder and I know it is not the same thing but if I had to choose only 3 things to take daily they would be the top 3.

How many did you get and how much were they?
How much EPA and DHA are in them?
