I can't stand the Dodge Caravan commercial with little Emma. I want to punch her repeatedly. And the ad exec that came up with it.

This one wasn't so much annoying, just hilariously stupid, from a marketing standpoint. A few weeks ago, NBC was having their 'green' week, and there were all these public service spots with NBC stars. Each spot had a corporate sponsor.
One of them was Masi Oka (of Heroes) talking about the importance of buying local, and how much better it was for the environment to avoid having stuff shipped around the world unnecessarily. And how it was a matter of personal responsibility. And the spot was brought to us by Microsoft and Windows 7; how nice of them.
It was immediately followed by the first commercial in the new Windows marketing campaign, bragging about how they flew some customer to Japan to approve a certain feature.
It's not like Microsoft was actually fooling anyone into thinking that sponsoring that spot meant that it was a message they took to heart, but the hypocrisy between the two ads was staggering.

Pretty much all of them, sadly. The two constant themes that drive me crazy are:
1. You're a horrible mother. A loving mother uses <PRODUCT>.
2. Men are stupid. Thank God there's a smart woman in the house that uses <PRODUCT>.
At the end of the day, I think we're all horrible and stupid, because the adds work. Societal Facepalm
Specific commercial.....Telus. What does a 'cute animal' and a catchy tune have to do with the future being friendly? What the heck does a friendly future have to do with a cellphone bundle?

I can't agree more about this little puke. I literally create a fake gun with my hand and shoot her at the end of the ad when she poses in front of the stupid van. "Hi, I'm Emma!" BANG!!

Another one that really gets me is the new American car maker ads that are questioning why everyone thinks toyota and honda are so much better. Look at car x that gets better mileage than toyota or honda. Ok, thats nice, when you guys were busy having your thumbs up your asses with horrible quality control and crappy inovation, toyota and honda actually came out with great cars. Its nice to see that GM/Ford is only 5-10 years behing Toyota and Honda....guess what. I have a prius, why do I have it? Because it was on the market 5 years before your american made crap.

I can't stand the Paradise ads on the fan 960. I change the radio everytime I hear "Billiards are fun, Billiards are fun.... blah blah blah.
I also can't stand the Calgaryjobshop.ca ads on the fan. Those stupid little skits they put in their ads make me want to drive into a cement wall.

I wonder about the grammar, too.
Shouldn't the ######ed jingle be: Billiards is fun?, as there is no singular 'billiard' when referring to pool or snooker.
I.E.
Hockey are fun, hockey are fun, you can't play with out a rink, so get yourself one.
vs
Hockey is fun, hockey is fun, you can't play with out a rink, so get yourself one.
BTW potential advertisers: When you command me to do something, I personally boycott your product/services. Try asking or being polite, jerks.

Time to bring this one back.
Telus again, that stupid hippo song one.
Listening to that woman sing is like jamming the stem of a broken wine glass into my ears. In what dimension or universe did anyone think that the singer had talent?
Oddly enough, the one mentioned before, the "we belong in this world together" one, didnt bother me in the slightest. I actually tapped my toe to it...

I was just thinking about the same commercial the other day. This bath song along is enough to guarantee I will never be a customer of Telus

Anything by Tim Horton's, especially lately. That one making fun of stereotypes, like taking your dogsleigh to Timmy's, angers me. Alot.

This.
I wish I was a Telus customer just so I could cancel and cite their terrible advertisements as my reason! I know someone in marketing will say the campaign, which has run much TOOO long, is a success because it gets people talking but I say that's bullsh*t. As long as I have to see their stupid annoying commercials 10 times/game I will never subscribe to any of their services!
