The difference is, the Chargers have playmakers that could step up for Merriman when he was out, and a strong secondary to rely on as well. The Saints IMO have neither of these things. Thomas has been our defensive MVP IMO, and the pressure the front four, led by him have gotten on the QB this year has helped mask our weak secondary. If DE Will Smith is out as well, that is going to cause real problems for us on D, especially with a hot QB like Romo coming into this one.
Add to that Colston and Horn most likely out, and Im not too confident for this game. I think the Saints have the ability to win this game, but its just unfortunate its coming at a time when we're so depleted, combined with the fact the Cowboys have zero injuries; rare this late in the year.
Oh well, at least the Panthers are losing. A win by the Saints would all but sew up the division for New Orleans tonight.

Man, I wish I had Maurice Jones-Drew on my team.
What a class guy.

Vince Young runs for a 39 yard TD on a 3rd and 14 in overtime... Titans win their 5th straight.
Gotta give the Titans credit -- he looks like a winner...

about 5% of the fans at the Texans game had U of T #10 jerseys. And their old college hero kills them in OT ... anyone heard what Mario Williams has done this year?

Early in the season I was able to get him on one of my teams. He was the only bright spot on that team.

What was that trick play on the 2nd TD? Did Rivers give the ball to Neal between Neal's legs?

I guess Tomlinson doesn't have to get the ball across the plane of the goal line for a TD like the human RB's in the NFL do.
Horrible call by the ref.
Denver doesn't challenge...even horibler.

Well I have to admit that I'm a total moron. San Diego ain't no paper tiger, they're hands down easily the best team in the NFL right now and might as well start designing their Super Bowl rings. Cam Cameron should have a head coaching job somewhere next year.

I think it was a direct snap but I'm not positive.

It's a low snap to Rivers who than moves his hands between Neals knee's and than Neal takes off. Looks like a fumble by the QB, when in fact it's a tricky handoff. Like I say Cam Cameron seems like a pretty innovative guy, and his offences score 400 points per year. I imagine some has been team would like him as their head coach.

I think I need to see it in slow motion again, now that I know what to look for.

The Broncos are running the ball better than San Diego so why Shanahan wants to continue to throw on second and long is baffling.

Looking like a rough one out their for the Broncs.
I would have stuck the year out with Plummer - but I am loyal like that.

I think the Bronco's made this move similar to what the Giants did with Eli Manning a couple years ago. After losing in KC they knew they weren't going to be winning the Superbowl and that Cutler is the guy who gives them the best chance at a Superbowl in coming seasons. So they gave up on trying to scrape into the playoffs and decided to start working on their next championship calibre team in hopes that it will surface next year.

I agree with you, and I understand why they made the move.
I guess overall I am not a fan of making that move mid-season, and I thought that Plummer had battled enough for the franchise they would give him one more shot at going deep.
Cutler is still so young that another half season on the sidelines learning the ins-and-outs of the offense wouldn't limit him.
But like I said, I am loyal like that - I would probably stick it out with a guy in that situation.
However, I do recognize there is a chance that Cutler cutting his teeth (hehe) now might speed up the process (might!).
