Club legend Ruben Amorim departs United.

39% win rate and bringing in his boys from Sporting not conducive to keeping his job.

Xavi coming in? Honestly, that would probably be great for United.

Finally back from my holiday trip to London and got to go to my first ever EPL game at Chelsea when they played Bournemouth. I have to say that if you ever have any chance to go to an EPL game, do it!

That was one of the coolest sporting experiences of my life. The Bournemouth supporters really brought the energy that entire game and it was something else. Chelsea looked sloppy and really had trouble inside the box. Everything was wide with no pressure from the middle.

Overall though, 10/10 experience, would do again!

Any ideas as to what their short-list looks like?

Whats Erik ten Hags up to these days? Is Mourinho still looking for work?

Can they get Fergie's head in a jar like Nixon on Futurama?

Oliver Glasner is the frontrunner per Telegraph. I'm obviously biased, but I'm fine with that. If he's indeed their choice, I wonder if they try to get him now, but it'll probably be in the summer.

Fletcher will be interim for the Burnley game, and I'd imagine it's going to be one of Solskjaer, Carrick and van Nistelrooy until the summer.

Chelsea have announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on a 5½-year contract.

Rosenior took over at fellow BlueCo club Strasbourg after spells as head coach at Hull City and Derby County. He was in London this week to complete the move.

The 41-year-old has been Strasbourg head coach since July 2024. He guided the French club to a seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.

Manchester United have held "early-stage informal talks" with several potential interim managers, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick, following the dismissal of head coach Ruben Amorim on Monday.

Sources have said that Ruud van Nistelrooy, who had a four-game interim spell in charge last season between the dismissal of Erik ten Hag and appointment of Amorim, is also under consideration for a role.

Former United captain Wayne Rooney has not been approached.

Really plumbing the ol' depths.

I'd prefer van Nistelrooy, but I'm fine with Solskjaer as well. As long as we're strictly talking about a short-term thing for a few months, I don't have an issue with that at all.

What...no love for Rooney?

Ole would be dangerous because the PL is so in the gutter right now that he could absolutely earn himself the job permanently again, even with something as mediocre as a 50% win.

Well all three of those other guys have already kicked this can and there isn't much to lose, but going through the media's lists of available and potential managers? That is pretty slim pickings.

Especially because United are probably a little 'gun shy' about going off-the-board and want a big name.

Now...quit screwing around and make Pep an offer.

Then the rest of us sit back and watch the World burn...

Only 4 clubs currently have a 50% win rate, I wouldn't call it mediocre.
United aren't going to win at that rate & if they do, he deserves the job.

Well, I just have to see this, so I'm watching the Forest/WH game while I work this afternoon. Just looking at the lineups, Forest should have this in the bag, right?

West Ham are no slouches. Bowen is good enough to start for any team.
