Sorta similar to that one, but the other day someone saw that I got a text from 'Mom' and commented that they thought it was weird that she was in my phone just as 'Mom' rather than her name.

Am I really the weird one here? Her name is mom as far as I'm concerned

I mean for a big chunk of her professional life she took busses or rode a bike around northern England as a mid-wife delivering all manner of Northern Monkeys

2 years ago she slipped on ice at her condo complex, she was about 100ft from her front door, she broke her shoulder

She dragged herself to her front door then gave my dad a blast for #### for something or other unrelated to the fall

This is one of those examples of a situation where the spectrum is a circle and the two ends are beside each other. People who call their mom by her first name are categorically the same as people who breast fed until they were pre-teens.

I was anti Facebook until a few years ago. Slayed me when it suggested my mom as a friend. She even had some emoji that looked like her. Fack.i guess that’s how she figured out my brothers wife used to be a stripper.

My parents have been gone for 10 years and I've switched phones twice since they died, but I still have their number in my contacts.

They are listed by their names though. I think years ago, some cyber-security expert said not to put people into your contacts in a way that identifies your relationship. That way, if someone gets a hold of your phone, they won't know which contact is your mom, so they can't message her and ask for $1000 in Apple gift cards.

Where's the best place to get pizza dough for a homemade pizza in Calgary? Got a recipe I want to try but don't really want to mess around with dough from scratch.

Anyone sell just some pre made, fresh balls of dough? Most if the pre made shells are pure crap in my experience.
