Now that's interesting. The Rams clearly preferred Kyren Williams last week but it's still a risk to remove Akers from the roster given how easily RBs get hurt, and to do it for a pick swap seems to indicate that any success they have this year is considered gravy. You'd think they'd look at the first two weeks, go "we might have something here", and bolster the squad, unless maybe this means that Kupp isn't going to come back at all this season?

The Rams have been talking about trading him for a year now.

Clearly there is some attitude / effort issue with Akers

Rams couldn’t give him away

I think the biggest issue with finding teams wanting to trade for Akers is that he isn't very good and plays at a position where there are lots of replacement level guys on the street right now. So even getting a pick swap where they move up 15-20 spots in the draft is better than nothing I guess He might be an upgrade and Mattison, but....well, Mattison also isn't very good.

Not a Cowboys fan but you hate to see that in practice of all things.

Don't fret though, we get two more NY primetime games next week. Although I have to say this weeks entire schedule really stinks. The MNF doubleheader probably has the two best games of the week. The Sunday Night game in particular is rancid, why they chose Kenny Pickett and Jimmy G for primetime is anyone's guess.

He should have retired after SB56, perfect way to go out. Now he gets to struggle through calling mostly terrible games with a partner who is best known for finding any excuse possible to bring up college football. Bezos should have gone for Gus.

I know the 49ers have a great defence but the Giants offence without Barkley is so very very bad

I think the Sunday nighter could be entertaining. Two average teams with similar skill. Not a marquee matchup by any means.

Falcons/Lions and Chargers/Vikings should be good games, but that entire afternoon slate is atrocious.
