As far as hiring as a GM right away, maybe not, but involved in some aspect of hockey in the league should he not be extended. That’s what I meant.

Look at the bright side…if Tre moves on, it opens the spot for BoLevi or Joborule and we’re in like flint.

The team is bad not just Markstrom
Markstrom is just part of the problem, a big part but not the only part.
I am sure someone will throw out some analytical stats to defend them but all the dmen have looked bad at various points. Zadorov was a joke tonight, Hanifn last game

Kadri though...never loved having to attach a 1st to Monahan to then sign a 32 year old to a 7 year deal.

Huberdeau would make sense if this was not Brett Sutter's team. Looks how lost he is in this system, and they won't change a thing about it.

We don’t know. Why does it matter?
If he made a bad deal, he made a bad deal
You can come up with a million excuses it’s still the same
Btw, Treliving has been here 10 yrs? It’s all his doing

I don't believe this narrative that teams are lining up to fetch Treliving. He doesn't have an impressive resume as a Flames GM.
If he does something else with another organization, I wouldn't bet on it being as GM.

Explain what Treliving did that caused this.
BTW, those two key players didn't get the Flames very far previously.

Not protecting Gio at expansion draft, because "the depth chart". Sent the message "we don't trust in this core", both Gaudreau and Tkachuk left.

Treliving is the only one that deal with them from the beginning. He signed all the contracts that put them where they are. He had full control of their career.

You serious? He's main job is asset management, and he failed to do that with Johnny, which likely led to Tkachuk jumping ship right away also.
It resulted in them losing a franchise player for nothing, and scrambling to try to replace the other one. And with how Huby's season been, Flames net loss currently is two high impact players, and they're not rebuilding.
Great GM'ing.
