I did mention a few posts above that Chris Jones can coach up a good defense, but that relies on his players buying in and especially in the 2nd half last night, that defense looked like they threw in the towel (aside from Purifoy).

I would say that Chris Jones is a great example of a guy that should stick to being a co-ordinator because he has shown that he can coach a quality defense, but even then he is such a prick that what coach could trust him to just do his job and do what is best for the team. He would eventually let his ego get in the way and clash with the coach, undermine the coach and try to take over the team.
Kai Locksley sucks so no big loss there, but the Elks don't exactly have enough talent to get rid of players because Jones is a prick. They should be cutting ties with him but I imagine they are far too invested at this point to make the move.

Just watched the game. Jake is garbage. His brain operates at a jr. high school level and he has the arm strength of a 10 year old girl. 4 passing yards in the entire first quarter. 3 interceptions.
This team will be lucky to won’t 5 games this year.
Overall the CFL is breathing it’s last few breaths.

With the cap on place in coaching staff the Elks are stuck with Jones, the Board there really screwed things up with that hire. I expect this team will need to get sold to someone with deep pockets, they are likely running out of cash and based on the performance so far are looking at a 2-3 win season as a high water mark.
