He didn't punch it out. He grazed it as it glanced off Danilo's head. If he punched it out, it would've been punched towards the Portugese goal, not deflecting behind Lloris.. as if it were a parry/fingertip.

Brutal penalty call. Soccer is so archaic it's not even funny. If if wasn't for the national pride and the pomp and pageantry that comes with these international tournaments, the sport is virtually unwatchable.

No he clearly didn't get the ball at the same time. About the same time doesn't cut it. He was second to the ball.

What do you mean "his area"? You think that's some sort of special protected zone?

You can see from the replay that it touches the attacker, THEN goes off the goalkeepers hand, THEN the follow through gets the attackers head.

There’s nothing illegal about what the goaltender did at the point he gets a punch on the ball, and the collision is simply a nearly instantaneous follow through of the legal play. Can’t be a penalty.

Either way, both teams have scored on a rediculous penalty, so it’s balanced now.

Yep, that's what I've been saying, You originally said he was first.

He was second to the ball. Despite the small time between him touching it after Danillo.

how are we even talking about this? It's a clear pen. Worrying though that Danilo was allowed to carry on, they are giving zero ####s about head injuries during this tournament ... Pavard was out cold in one of France's other games (don't remember which one, think it was against Germany) and was also allowed to stay on. Madness.

The French pen was a complete joke though.

Hungary got a pretty good claim as the second best team in this group, Portugal are ass and Germany not much better.

Yes I'm here because of the reasons I stated above. Huge supporter of the Italian national team and I get caught up in the big tournaments. It's like the Olympics, you just get caught up in the hype. It's a love/hate relationship with soccer for me. I grew up playing but there are just so many issues I have with the game that I find infuriating.

Because Rashford is always that little bit too quick off the mark.
