How is it possible that every single high paid player on a team can have terrible seasons at the same time? Gaudreau has been the best of the underperforming group.

Agreed. Thing is I bet the Flames lineup looks incredibly deep if they had at least 2 of our top 4 forwards in the same tier as Matthews and Marner. If you have guys that do that heavy lifting in 90% of games it takes pressure off everyone else.

Bennett consistently looks good skating with the puck thru the NZ, and then he consistently loses the puck once he’s there.

Monahan is taking a lot of the hate but IMO Tkachuk has been the worst of the top forwards

True, however, you give two players like that on any bottom feeding roster in the league and they would look deep. Fact is, this roster Treliving has built is incredibly low skilled and flawed.

He threw a big one on sceifle earlier when it wasn’t out of hand. I’ll admit he hasn’t looked great. No forward has in this team. I think Benny deserves more pp time to an monny. The board knows my feelings on this matter.
He has become an unconfident dollar store version of a knock off Swiss Army knife. There is no offensive fluid ness and the young players are reaching pre mcdavid levels of oiler effort. So at least we are on the right track to win a lottery with our new stadium.
