Good think he never played for the Raiders who all remained seated on their bench during the anthem in the Sunday night game.

Best point differential through Week 3:

1. Jaguars
2. Chiefs
3. Rams

Yes, but that was before the new stadium was built!

Not a better atmosphere in pro football anywhere.

The Packers, specifically aaron Rodgers and Martellus Bennett, are asking the entire stadium to link arms in show of unity during the anthem tomorrow night.

This is Rodgers statement;

I may be in the minority here, but I wish they would just play football.
I thought what LeBron said was excellent

I think this is become bigger then NFL and sports.

To be honest we're witnessing history in the making, this period will be remembered and talk about by future generations.

There could be a Colin Kaepernick day years from now.

Incredible gesture by Deshaun Watson. Wow.

Quote:
Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson donated his first game check to three women who work in the NRG Stadium cafeteria and who were especially affected by the flooding from Hurricane Harvey.

"For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y'all to help y'all out in some type of way," Watson told the woman in a video shared by the Texans. "Here you guys go."

Watson, who has a base salary of $465,000, donated a check for $27,353.
Video of it all here...

Oh and those who think GB should win easy on Thursday night,

Quote:
Here's how bad the Packers' offensive line situation looks on the eve of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears: They might have to start someone who's been with them for three days or play one or more of their guards at the all-important tackle spots.

Preferred starting tackles David Bakhtiari (hamstring) and Bryan Bulaga (ankle) both were listed as doubtful on the final injury report Wednesday. The Packers' top three backup tackles all are on injured reserve. Kyle Murphy, who started the season opener at right tackle in place of Bulaga and the last two games at left tackle for Bakhtiari, this week joined Jason Spriggs and Don Barclay on IR.
They may have to start a guy at RT who wasnt even with the team 3 days ago.

A few times. South end zone is where the rowdies sit. If Air Force has a home game that weekend you can drive down to Colorado Springs for a game there too.

Invesco is a nice stadium. Park north or south of downtown and take the train in, unless you are staying downtown.

Yeah Watson is definitely one of those players you cheer for to succeed in the NFL because of the type of person he is.

I'd rather they just stick to sports.

I don't think so. If anything this could be looked on as a trigger of the downturn in the NFL. NFL ratings through three weeks are down 10% from last season and last season was a down year but key is that it was an election year that got a lot of attention. Last season some people were blaming the ratings decline on Kaepernick which I personally dismissed as I believe the election attention was the major cause. However now that ratings are even lower than last season I'm not so sure. Maybe NFL popularity simply peaked a few years ago? Maybe it's because more people are streaming games compared to say three years ago? Or maybe a lot of Americans simply don't like politics mixed with their sports? Likely a combination of all of them but the fact that some teems are getting loudly booed for going to their knee during anthems is probably an indicator that it's turning off a large portion of the population.

Would be interesting to see the Canadian ratings. I will say that I have watched more cable games on Sunday afternoon than years past because if a few good games are on cable I would rather watch them in HD rather than suffer through the DAZN experience any longer than I have to.

Yeah, no. There are a number of culprits, with streaming being the largest one. I can pretty much guarantee you that the number of people who've stopped watching the games because players are kneeling is minuscule.

Nobody knows exactly including the NFL but I think the kneeling is contributing more than you think. Not saying it's the leader or anything but it's more than miniscule.

Interesting fact about tonights game:

The Packers and Bears all-time record against each other is currently split (94-94-6)

With a (likely) win tonight, the Packers could pass the Bears in the season series for the first time since 1932
