The Ottawa defense looking very Rideresque tonight. Receivers running open at will, 2nd and 20+ conversions.

Nice pick-six by former Stamp Keon Raymond on the first offensive play from scrimmage.

... And the game pretty much went down the tubes from there for the Argos.

The Riders are not progressing and are in fact going backwards. I expected these games but was hoping by his point in the season they would be showing some growth as a team. Disappointing

This continues to illustrate that Jones isn't a good coach, this is a team that is playing with no fire. Their offensive scheme is predictable, their defensive scheme is awful.

It doesn't take much of a coach to pad his reputation by stepping in to elite level teams like Calgary and Toronto were and even Montreal. He inherited a good team in Edmonton that had a GM that made good personal decisions.

Good luck Riders you're stuck with dud in Jones.

On top of it, looking at the Riders player personal decisions, it looks like Murphy (who I liked on a personal level) was sheltered pretty hard by Huf

Looks like the Riders spent a ton of money and gave long term deals to the equivalent of the Duke cousins who replaced the Duke brothers on Dukes of Hazard.

Looks like them Duke Boys are drivin the Riders off a cliff.

I don't think the Ti-Cats needed that last TD already up 46-7.

Its football

Its not like the Ti-Cats were gambling on third and long. They were playing football.

I still remember a few years back when Dunnigan was coaching the Stamps and the Riders were romping on the Stamps and running 3rd and long gambles on the Stamps to score. So I don't care all that much about "running up the score"

The Ti-Cats were playing football, I don't know what sport the Riders were playing. I'm just sticking around to see if Jones spazzes out again on another hand shake.

Don't get me wrong, Captain, these guys are professionals, it's not Pop Warner where you're dealing with kids. Just keep them out of the end zone if you don't want to be embarrassed by a lop-sided score.

That said, I don't think Kent minded putting up 53 on his old team

So? Any handshake shenanigans or does Jones reserve the no-handshake solely for Stamps coaches?

You get paid to play 60 minutes. The Riders quit about 30 minutes in, so they earned the paddling. And yeah, Austin probably enjoyed every minute of his team not having to work hard to tap up 53.

The worst part is watching Darian Durant walking around like he didn't care. His throwing mechanics are off, they look slow, but he looks like Durant from a few years back where he pouted through the whole season.

I've always said he was an over rated in-accurate QB who benefited from having receivers that could fight their way to the ball, and made incredibly athletic catches to bail them out. Without those receivers you have Reggie Slack with a more powerful arm.

That was back in 2004 during F-Troop era. They also went for an onside kick to run up the score late in the game.

In a blowout, its not the winning teams job to quit playing hard.
In NCAA football there are a lot of blowouts, the coaches have a ton of good quotes about it. They replace their starters as the game goes along, but thats really it. Maybe a few more runs and fewer shots down the field though.

TSN loves to go on about what a mastermind Jones is. Once TSN locks onto a guy, they just go overboard... see JC Sherrit for example.. best player ever

The Montreal Alouettes have added a large piece to the puzzle (over 400 lbs large).

Another Popp publicity stunt if you ask me.

Agros announced this morning Ricky Ray will start next Wednesdays game against the Lions.

Per @jdunk12 + moi: Argos have released defensive captain Keon Raymond. Cut comes just days before his contract would be guaranteed. #Family
