Buddy Jackson blown call, and a couple of obvious offsides missed. Other than that, a pretty good game by the refs.
Another thing I noticed... Did Hamilton call their timeout after Collaros was sacked with 35 seconds to go? On the next play, the clock didn't start until the snap, when it should have been running on whistle in, unless a time out was called. The CFL play by Play listing doesn't stated when any timeouts happened.

There will always be blown calls but a couple of others I noticed: hit out of bounds call early on by Hamilton was clear as day and missed, Hamilton lineman grabbed D-Lineman's helmet on a big second down and long conversion for Ti-Catsin 4th quarter I think, holds on the Banks kick return at the end.
I am sure Hamilton has some complaints as well but I obviously didn't pay attention to those plays.

One that attracted a lot of attention from the Ti Cats bench was the Peredes accidental hit on Banks when he ran out of bounds
The Tiger-Cats wouldn't say it on the record Sunday, but the word "robbed," was getting tossed about liberally when tape recorders were turned off.
The Tiger-Cats took every shot the Stampeders hit them with and stayed on their feet, only to knock themselves out just as they were about to grasp victory and a championship.
History will say the Stamps won the 102nd Grey Cup by a score of 20-16, but with just over one minute to go in the game a touchdown was taken off the board that would have put Hamilton ahead 23-20.
"Huge," said Tiger-Cats coach Kent Austin about the penalty call that negated Brandon Banks' 90-yard punt return for a touchdown. "Good for (the referee)."
Gotta say, the respect I have had for the Ti-Cats is being seriously diminished by their gripping over a call that was made exactly as the rules stipulate and exactly as it is called almost every game in this league. Credit to most of their fans, who from what I have read online, accept that the correct and necessary call was made on the field.
Austin is right that not everything gets called on kick returns. But you know what does always get called? When there's clear illegal block on the first guy down the field. Because the officiating crew position themselves to see the plays that are typically have the greatest impact on the play, and then call any infraction that they see. Hard to say what impact this illegal block had on the return, but it nonetheless happened exactly where high-impact infractions tend to happen, and right where the officiating crew was focusing, as they should have been.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
I don't know if I would want him on my team, clearly has talent but he has some growing up to do.
He can run, more specifically, accelerate. That's about it. 150lbs isn't getting you far in the NFL. Him bouncing off Parades' stomach, who was jogging in to the side line, and the rag doll he got taken down like in the third, is all that needs to be said.
He wasn't on the field for the last drive, either by his own accord, or probably the fact that he's not going to outjump anyone with a full prevent defense on the field or be left wide open as he was on the blown TD coverage.
Hamilton has used 3 different returners this year, so he's hardly lights out or in the class of someone like Gizmo. He's had his off field issues too.
That PR that got called back, for him in his mind, hurt his stock for a new contract/NFL shot and his disappointment is due to selfish reasons moreso than team ones, in my opinion.
I sat between a Stamps and a Hamilton fan. When that play happened with 35 seconds left the Hamilton fan was losing her #### thinking they had just won while the Stamps fan looked like she was about to puke. Once the ref called it back their reactions reversed. lol

Calgary called their timeout after Hamilton lined up 1st and 10. This was to see the Hamilton offense structure, then the very next play Calgary got that 10 yard sack. Which then Hamilton called their timeout to stop the clock.
It was a perfect time for calgary to call their timeout after the penalty with no effect on the play clock.

A good game by Banks on the biggest CFL stage would have definitely gotten him some (more) NFL interest. As an impending free agent, there is no way that wouldn't have been on his mind before, during, and after the game. The fact that he almost pulled it off -- but didn't -- could end up costing him some significant $ depending on how contract negotiations go.
At the very least, a winning TD in the closing seconds would have surely vaulted him into Grey Cup history. Instead, it'll end up being just another play by the second place team...

I'd rather see returns instead of fair catches IMO.

I just feel like it punishes the punting team too much.
If the kicker hits a great punt with good hang time then the punt coverage team gets caught flat footed since they are all stopping and trying to back peddle to avoid the penalty.
If he hits a bad punt it is pretty much a guaranteed penalty since the coverage team is going to out run the punt.
On top of that IMO the 15 yard penalty is too much for it.
