I'm not sure how I haven't heard about this until now, but following the series finale of BSG in '09, there will be a 2 hour BSG movie aired called "The Plan"

Battlestar noob here. What's the order of this thing? If I want to start watching this show, where do I start? The mini series? Seasons 1? What is Razor?

Miniseries > Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3 > Razor > Season 4 > "The Plan"

When I was on a westjet flight about a week ago they were playing the miniseries on Space, so I watched that again. I've probably seen the miniseries 6 times. It's really good.

1) Three hour, 2 part, mini-series
2) Seasons 1-3
3) Razor
4) Season 4

Technically you can watch Razor at any point, but it aired in between season 3 and 4, so that is a good bet. It's a side story, but you'll probably want to watch the first three seasons first.

Due to the writers strike only the first half of season 4 has aired. The last episodes will start airing January 2009, which are the last of the series.

I'm pretty sure their going forward with at least the miniseries for Caprica, if not a whole first season. I've seen some pictures of the set. Their filming in Vancouver. I've pretty sure it's underway right now.

And with the movies, the original plan was to possibly do three 2 hour movies like Razor. I think depending how this one ends up or how well it does will depend on if we get to see a second or third. But it would be tough to try to bring all the cast back they need, that's why the longer they wait, the tougher it will be so I could see them only doing one.

I think I should go back and watch season 4 again. I have them all recorder. Will have to do that for sure before the second half starts!

don't forget Resistance; it's only about 30 minutes in total, but is very much worth seeing as an interlude between seasons 2 and 3

I'm a pretty diehard fan and I haven't even seen resstance. I will have to do that soon.

Very true. I bought the miniseries after it was release and then bought season one. If you're going to actually buy the DVD's, (which is worth it IMO), then all you need to do is buy season 1. And once BSG comes out on Blu Ray (which i'm sure it will eventually), i'll probably have to buy a PS3 and the entire series all over again!

Yeah should be Jan sometime. I was going to write I can't remember what happens at the half way point of season 4...it took me a minute but it came back to me. it's been a long bloody time. Kind of sucks for the fans like this though. you get into the show then you have to wait a year and are totally out of it by the time it comes around again.
