I like it without the black more honestly. The black outline makes it look kind of out of place with the other colours, ie. the stripes look like they belong on another jersey than the yellow.

we would probably get a better idea if someone did a jersey mock up, but I am horrendous at them

For me its not just the 2 colours. Its when you introduce thick striping along with the colours it starts to look like Ronald McDonald.

If they do end up going yellow, it will be interesting how they do the striping. If they go thick red stripes, it will be hard not to think of Ronald McDonald.

Here's an idea. Maybe if it was yellow with thick red stripes only, no white or black, it might look good. I wish I was good at making jersey mock-ups, because I do have a few concepts in my head that I wish I can create.

So in my head it would be a yellow jersey with a red flaming C. Thick red stripe on the waist, thick red stripe on the arms, maybe a red shoulder yoke. Red pants, red gloves, red helmet. Yellow socks with a thick red stripe in the middle.

Yup, I find the black outline on our away C makes it much worse, still a good logo but if they were to take away the black it'd be awesome.

for the logos, I really like the addition of the black. The stripes have potential but the striping I ised as a sample is not very good
Anyone with some photoshop skills able to put these colour schemes on to our current jerseys?

No, this pretty much nails it. Right down to the striping.

I like the Team Canada mustard jersey, so the right shade of yellow for the Flames could work

the non-announcing non-releasing thing is super annoying. Pre-season starts Saturday. Could they not do it during the dog days of summer when there's nothing to talk about? That's when I'm starved for NHL related stuff.

I just find it irritating, but maybe they have good reasons.

The Flames and their secrets are lame.

If it means anything, all the ushers at the Saddledome at the Eagles concert are wearing yellow shirts. Presumably, that's their new uniform this season.

IIRC, the reason they've worn green and brown blazers in the past was so that they'd be easily identifiable in the Sea of Red. So, I'd think that means the Flames won't be wearing yellow jerseys.

So you are saying that the Flames will have green and/or brown jerseys? Thus the change?
