I like Breen, but he's gotta get going soon. Depending on what happens, you have Leach, Wotherspoon and Ramage heading into Abbotsford pretty soon. And that's if they don't draft anybody else worth a damn...

A little off topic, but abbotsford released a quick video on kolanos that I thought was pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tK7346d82Y Dirty deke at the end

Yeah, I think his new training program is working...
Does he look any different from before being called up to Calgary?

I'm really perplexed by the numbers he put up and the showing he had in the N HL. It just doesn't seem to fit at all.

I really didn't see a whole lot of skill in Kolanos when he was up here.

The largest difference I've seen is the quality of the competition. Kolanos has great speed and good hands, but because of the difference between NHL players and AHL players, he's able to be a step ahead of almost all AHL d-men, but not against NHLers.

To be fair, he was completely snake-bit in Calgary. He hustled and he was where he needed to be, but he just could not bury anything.

That basically sums it up. I thought he looked pretty good in the NHL. He had at least two good chances per game in the NHL.

Those numbers he's posted in the last 10 games isn't an anomaly for him. He's been doing that all season with 61 points in 47 games.

At least he's signed for next season so he can possibly make a push for a spot on the Flames or he'll continue to be the star on the Heat and be a go-to callup.

Aliu out (possible injury), which means Reinhart is in tonight. He'll likely be on a line with Nemisz and Horak.

That sucks for Aliu, but I'm happy for Max Power to get a taste of AHL playoffs!

Aliu took the warmup but isn't in the lineup. Pinder said he was unsure whether or not he has an injury (because he took a hard hit last game) or whether it was just a personnel issue.

Sounds like Ward is being very careful with Reinhart's minutes. He hasn't had much time on the ice. I think he's double shifting Jessiman and Nemisz and only putting Reinhart out there in select situations. Can't blame Ward I guess.

Ken King in attendance. Pinder will be interviewing him during the second intermission.

Baby Flames up 2-0. Very tight defensive game played by the club right now.
