If he normally rants like did during the Olympics...then I'm not sure I could handle his voice on a regular basis.

I know its pretty blasphemous to say on CP, but I have to admit, I do like to listen to Francis' segments on the Fan.

This idea was bad from the start. Producers at 960 are just as much to blame for the disaster that was the big show since Kerr left.
That last tweet he sent out basically admits he's bored with sports talk radio. Showed.
Good luck, Bryn.

Basically if TSN comes here .. and pretty much tries at all, the Fan is going to get dummied.

Speaking for myself, Bryn'll be missed around the 'Dome. Tremendously nice, classy guy who always takes the time to help people out.

so wait......
who IS Bryn Griffiths? Have we defined this yet, or is it some kind of existential spiritual "the Bryn Griffiths in all of us" type stuff?

Not as long as they own the flames rights, that's the biggest factor in a potential sports radio war.

For that time slot, yes, but unless the Fan steps it's game up, they're going to lose a lot of listeners whenever Peter Maher isn't on the radio (assuming they don't screw up and have 4 hours of Jermaine Franklin in the afternoons)

The few times a woman (most likely hot) has been on the show, they've always poked fun at Steinbag and he seems to react well. Perhaps a female co-host would loosen the fellow up a wee bit?

It's not like TSN would be able to throw together a top notch local lineup. Unless you want a lot of Toronto simulcast, it probably wouldn't be much different. Just listen to TSN radio in Winnipeg. It's bad...and they have that Jets rights.

If hockey was on the only real weak spot is the afternoons....if they fix that they will be fine.

They should hire Warrener and Mclennan to do the afternoon show, and allow them to drink. I think this would increase listenership 10 fold.

ya other than rhett i am not a fan of the mornings, but boomer was joking i have heard rider fans say much worse. the worst part of rider fans is they think they know the players personally, which they don't obviously. the most overated fans in the world. i heard boomer apologize this morning but he shouldn't have to. if rob peterson said this in sask about calgary he would be hoisted up. Riders are horrible go stamps.

Its too bad this position was initially decided on after Ryan Pinder took his position with the Heat..I think he would have been a good fit.
