April 29th last year was a substantial dump... This is pretty normal, unfortunately. Not saying that it doesn't suck though.

In Foothills Industrial it's coming down like mad and has been for 30 minutes. Not accumulating though.

It is accumulating on the grass at Currie Barracks. Roads and sidewalks are still wet though.

Lakeview: just starting to stick... but the temp on my thermometer outside says it's 2 degrees.
So much for raking the grass today.

From what ive seen west of the city, a snowfall warning might be issued in the next couple hours.

This is just sad, and I was about to put on my Summer tires too. Looks like I gotta wait another month or two.

Was working down in Inglewood and the snowchunks that were falling were larger then golf balls.

June 6th??? Oh my God. So, are July and August the only two months of the year when it doesn't snow there for sure?? I remember actually, being at a camp wayy up in Northern Ontario when it snowed the last week of August. I don't know how you guys can take it. My sympathies.

I was camping in Southern Alberta in August when it snowed 4 or 5 years ago.

I'm willing to bet it has snowed every month in Calgary sometime during the past 100 years.

You would be right. The following are the days when it has never snowed in Calgary:

May (2): 30, 31
June (17): 1, 3, 8, 14, 16-25, 27-30
July (30): 1-22, 24-31
August (24): 1-14, 17-20, 24, 27-31
Sept (4): 1-4

Those are the days with Record Snowfall = 0 cm at the Calgary Airport according to the government weather office which has records back to 1885.

Yep Deerfoot was brutal just a few minutes ago. Lots of water and cars starting to hydroplane. Combined with poor visibility it was a mess.

Also, make sure you turn on your headlights. Most cars' dusk sensors will be fooled by the amount of light. Even if you have daytime running lights; it helps to have your tail lights on.
