He may have a great arm....but its what is between his ears that has always gotten him in trouble.

I soured on McNabb over the last couple of years but I think he is going to be a positive in Minnesota this year (really, what were the options?). Too bad he doesn't have Sidney Rice to throw to now but he still has decent options with Harvin being the main guy. Gonna be another fingers crossed kinda year for the Vikings I guess.

Reggie is a Dolphin. Reportedly signed a two year, $9.75 million deal. He gets $5 million in 2011 ($2.5 salary, $2.5 signing bonus).
I was happy to have him on the Saints, he was fantastic in the community, and I highly doubt they are Super Bowl champs without him.
The $16m cap hit was impossible to bear, and I'm glad he'll only count $3.5m against it. I was happy to hear that he was still trying to work something out with the Saints last night. At the same time, I'm a little relieved that I don't have to keep defending his existence/salary to people who don't understand his value to the team.

So for the rest of today do we get to hear how brilliant the #Patriots are for acquiring Haynesworth? #Raiders would be crucified for this.

Best of luck to Reggie, but he was gone the second they drafted Ingram, especially with his cap hit. Was brilliant in flashes but always played extremely hard for the Saints.

With Wilfork and Haynesworth, NE can play a "5-4".

I think one of the more understated or under "talked about" moves thus far is the Cheifs signing Steve Breaston and reuniting him with Haley. Thats yet another weapon for Cassel along with Bowe, McCluster and Moeaki. Some really solid and potentially explosive pieces being assembled in KC.

I hope he fits with the Fins. His ability to be a threat out of the backfield will hopefully allow Henne to check out of some of those ill advised forced passes he made all too often last year. I'm still holding out hope for an upgrade at QB, as an MSU guy Henne would have to be Marino to win me over, but that seems unlikely.

.Henne's a Wolverine, not some filthy Spartan I'm still hoping Miami takes Orton off the Broncos hands. Starting Tebow is a win/win. If he's good then fantastic, qb of the future. If he sucks then it's Andrew Luck time.

49ers have signed all 10 draft picks, and training camp starts today.

Best move of the offseason for any team so far. Exactly what the Chiefs needed and if Baldwin has any kind of impact as a rookie that team is going to be very good on offense. Breaston is an excellent receiver who has played 3rd fiddle to two hall of famers.

And Nate Clemens will be released. No agreement could be reached to renegotiate his contract, and he would have been too big of a hit for this year.

Ya it's definitely a bit of a bittersweet feeling. He was a little Hollywood when he first came to Nola but I think over the past few years he's turned into a nice kid. Can't believe we actually managed to find a trading partner, figured it'd just be a straight-up release.
I also won't miss defending why he's not a bust, and having my heart in my throat every time he touched the ball, bit of a fumble machine. But I'll really miss him on 3rd down, and seeing those eye-popping plays every so often. Was usually good for a few HoN candidates every season.
Best of luck in Miami Reggie. Sounds like they've assured him he'll be "the man" this season, which was what he wanted, and clearly wasn't going to get in N.O. with Ingram/PT/Ivory. We'll see what he can do in south Florida, hopefully he can shed the injury bug, which is hard at his size.

It seems more likely that Davin Joseph and Jeremy Trueblood will both be re-signed by the Bucs, management and the coaching staff took them to dinner last night and Joseph tweeted:

The only way Henne gets better is if he finally learns to scan the field. If you ever watch him out of the backfield he only looks at his first read. He than tries to force it or throws it out of bounds right away. He needs to learn to look off some receivers.
Also Bush has to stay healthy, which is something he has struggled with.

The only way that's going to happen is if the Phins don't try to make him their go-to guy at RB, which is exactly what it sounds like they want to do (or at least what they told him to get him on board). If that does happen, I give it until Halloween (if not earlier) before he's missing multiple weeks with something. The Saints tried him in that role a few different times (most recently late last season, with all our injuries at the position), and he could never make it more than 2-3 weeks before he was standing in street clothes alongside the rest of em on the sidelines.
As a change of pace back though, I think he can flourish. I have no problems whatsoever with calling him one of the top 5 athletic players in the entire league. It's just a matter of how you use him, and most importantly, not over-using him.

Just when you thought Chris Kluwe couldn't get more awesome he tweets this:
"So here's the deal. If McNabb comes and wants 5, it's his, BUT he has to promise to mention Tripping Icarus in at least 5 press conferences."
Tripping Icarus is an alt rock band, Kluwe is the bassist.
He also said he'd switch to 4 because pi was not an option.
