There was also a Cash Converters.

What was the Chinese food place in Southland crossing open in early 90’s?

Ha, I am speculating the multiple times here was not the plan and it was just meant to happen once.

Now its just getting silly. Crank up your phone volume to full if you really want to get a shock to the system.

Had the radio on in the background and they are getting it worse, after assaulting your ears with the emergency tone its followed by the dumb robot voice explaining its just a test. Takes a long time to finish, lol.

Have you gotten them in French yet? We'll send another 10 thanks. How about Morse code?

I miss living in that area just for that buffet/breakfast, it was my Saturday staple. Granted the breakfast paled in comparison to the buffet, but for $4.99 (later $6.99), 'twas a solid bang for your buck.
I went recently again and it's almost a classic full breakfast price now, which is odd given its basic with no substitutes. They wrecked a wonderful thing...the buffet is still on point though.
EDIT: And yeah pump the brakes with the Emergency Alert. Think I'm up to the ocho now..

7 times, in stereo (3 phones, 3 of us at home). Maybe it was making up for all the ones we were supposed to have received previously, that we didn't get?

I like to think the first alerts were just to warn you that the real test is coming up.
All in all no biggie, lasted 5 minutes just like they said it would. Was still pretty funny vacuuming and every 30 damn seconds there goes another one

I’m just happy they announced the emergency alert test in advance. Allowed me to get done all my child kidnapping at the perfect time. As if anyone was gonna read that real amber alert notification sandwiched between all those test alerts.

I was at the dentist. I know I was glad there was continual sirens/alarms going off the entire time he was working in my mouth.

To be polite, we typically leave our phones elsewhere when in meetings. After the third one from one of our colleagues, we told everyone to just keep their phones on hand.
Luckily our meetings are relatively informal, but it was still annoying to run around turning off phones.

I also got a bunch of emergency alert texts. I just ignored them and moved along with my day. Was extremely tough.
