They would revive it if they government gave them guarantees plus a sizable insurance payout if things are held up.
Its a big money maker.

Just make sure to rename it something other than Keystone and it'll probably go through without issue

"Transporting Freedom Oil...."
I'm not sure why they don't just put CP in charge. Pretty sure we could get it done.

He wasn't completely wrong, Ghawar has declined far more than people thought when SA released their data prior to going public. They've also never made the 12Mbpd production target. I do agree though that he didn't take into account technological improvements in his forecasts.

Even at $80 or $90 per barrel, OPEC is still going to make a ton of money. Why wouldn't they increase production if they are capable?
Secondary concerns are being able to increase fuel production to get fuel prices down.

No CAD E&P was down 10% today - are you US or international?

I am quite skeptical of OPECs ability to turn on the taps enough to meet demand and replace RUS barrels. Lots of the smaller members have operational issues resulting in them below their quotas anyway. Time will tell if the UAE and SA will be able to fill the void... If it proves they can't, oil is absolutely going to rip through that $200 ceiling real fast. The only downside catalysts at this point are Iran and Venezuela - both of which are fairly small.
