There is no discussion. When people respond to his posts by telling him he is wrong there is nothing in response from Yoho.

People probably should just reply to it less but frankly it'd be easier if it just wasn't here. All it does is post bait anyway

Are you suggesting that he/she has so little confidence in their positions that they’re too afraid to try and defend them? Say it ain’t so Dion

Can we please stop talking about Yoho and people talking about Yoho. Ignore their posts or respond to them, but don’t make this thread about them.

Sadly i think you’re completely bang on here. Trudeau should have been turfed for his attempted interference and Smith should be as well. I wonder how the number of contacts and degree of interference compares… sadly I don’t think we will ever know

I think that this is worth for Smith than it was Trudeau due for the nature of Smiths support and that these cases are still pending being prosecuted.
Her base will want her to double down that she was right to contact prosecutors and will be angry if these cases proceed so the knives could come from the right. In order to win an election she needs to offer some sort of explanation and back off the interference.
In Trudeau’s case maintaining cabinet confidence and electoral results pointed in the same direction. Here Smith is caught in the same pincer Kenny was on Covid.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said she has called for a review that she says will examine emails between her office and Crown prosecutors.
Smith said Saturday – on Corus Entertainment's Your Province, Your Premier radio program — that she has ordered the independent public service to do a review of emails sent by her office, which will be conducted alongside the IT department.
|

This will be interesting. What caught my eye, though, was this:
Quote:
Smith said there are hundreds of Crown prosecutors and she has 34 staffers in her office, which means it is likely the review will take the entire weekend.
|
34! Along with the largest cabinet in Alberta history, she's also staffed up like the Stampede in July. I was curious, and found this article...
Quote:
Tax experts are sounding the alarm over the amount Alberta’s government spends on the salaries for 19 government employees who work for Premier Jason Kenney’s office.
Publicly posted contracts for 19 employees in the premier’s office show their salaries add up to over $2.9 million in taxpayer dollars each year, with their salaries ranging from over $224,000 annually at the high end for both the premier’s principal secretary and his chief of staff, and several employees including the premier’s special assistant and tour manager each making just over $114,000 at the low end of the scale.

If 19 is eye popping, I think our heads might explode here. 34! What an efficient well run machine...I guess this is what Libertarian Conservatism looks like.

The justification is that the emails were sent from the staffers personal account to at least one Crown Prosecutors personal account
|
I'm not sure the law will agree with you on that one. Is this why she was so willing to have the investigation? She thinks she is in the clear because it wasn't done from government email addresses? Does she have any ability to identify right and wrong?

Improper use of a personal e-mail account? It's like we're playing in the big leagues!

Now that the personal email revelation is leaked her idea that it will end with the investigation seems unlikely lol. Also did she not just admit to caucus that she’s aware of the emails?

Ya, but there is no possible way they could be tied back to her, so she's in the clear here. Logic!
