Thread showing a few of the robotaxi failures, like phantom braking and driving near double the speed limit.

Oh, a list here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SelfDriving...axi_incidents/

I find these all very telling of progress, because they are the same issues FSD has always had. Many other stories are emerging already of other failures. Believers were keen to point out Tesla hasn't released a new FSD version in 6 months to the public, claiming they've put all their time into the robotaxi build, and the public will get that. With that time, all the issues FSD have had over the last decade would be solved, and Tesla would be on the way to infinite money.

Here we see the reality, which should be terrifying to anyone with money in Tesla, because they clearly didn't figure these problems out, and logically there is no reason to believe they will solve 10 year old issues in the next 6 months or whatever. Waymo spent 3 years with in vehicle supervision. Musk has promised thousands in the next few months, and millions in 2026 which seems largely impossible with the need for safety drivers, and they obviously can't get rid of them.

I suspect this rolling embarrassment goes on for a few months before getting completely pulled to try to fix these things that can not be fixed in their system. They've fully committed to vision only and a black box "AI" which turns out to be about as reliable as every other LLM. Changing would mean acknowledging Musk's promise that "every Tesla sold today has all the hardware needed for FSD" which is millions of vehicles that would be entitled to compensation. He's already basically admitted HW3 isn't good enough for the best FSD builds(limited on board compute).

Anyway, the cultists may keep pumping this stock past a Trailing P/E of 194.55 and a Forward P/E of 175.44 based on FSD dreams. I'd short the #### out of it, but I don't trust stocks so heavily controlled by the brain washed to perform rationally, which Tesla clearly does not. But I am super tempted...

Elon Musk fired Tesla’s head of operations in North America and Europe, amid declining sales in both regions and the electric vehicle brand’s falling popularity, according to people familiar with the matter.

Omead Afshar, who started with Tesla as an engineer in 2011, had become one of Musk’s top lieutenants and was elevated to vice president to oversee business in the two key regions last October. He didn’t respond to a request for comment, nor did Musk or Tesla.

Imagine getting fired because your boss is so unimaginably unpopular that he completely tanked company sales, and you get tossed under the self driving Derplorean so he can pretend to continue to think he isn't the problem. If only Omead had come up with more clever marketing involving 69 and 420, he might have been able to move all those swasticars.

He’s in perfect health, like Trump. Hopefully he’ll get run over or blown up by his own creations. Where are you when we need you, HAL?

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/26/tesl...elon-musk.html

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has fired Omead Afshar, the automaker’s vice president of manufacturing and operations, CNBC confirmed.
Afshar reported directly to Musk and led a team of more than a half dozen high-level employees, according to internal organizational charts viewed by CNBC.

Musk sets his own company on fire and then blames this guy
