If he's not up to playing in the skills competition because he's sick I can kind of understand. However he probably should be smart enough to stay home seeing he's a person that's going to get noticed when he's out and about. As usual that organization can't even do the small things right like make proper arrangements when an employee calls in sick like issuing a statement to their paying customers. Then you have the player showing he's not exactly the sharpest pencil in the box going out in public when he called in sick to work. There are no limits to the amount of no goodness in that organization as they can't even do their own skills competition right.

So if he is as sick as the Edmonton media are saying, I guess he is too sick to play tonight.
We shall see.

Holy #### he doesn’t look well.
Steroids are known to cause acne and other skin problems. Bad diet and pollution too. But bad hockey?

It amazes me that they still play him, and have him around the team if he is that sick. Like I said before. The Oilers are so desperate to make the playoffs that they'll sacrifice everything and anything to make it. It's sad.

This is how fans drive players out of the city. They're lucky they have any that want to play there to begin with.
Connor, next time spring for a Jaguar with tinted windows. You may want to invest in some sunglasses too.

This was a response from the Oiler board to a suggestion that they offer sheet Tkachuk:
Quote:
You need to have a willing participant to sign an offer sheet. Even if we had the cap space and the required draft picks, Tkachuk would flush an offer sheet from us down the toilet. He lives three hours away, I’m sure he’s well versed in the absolute **** show our franchise is. The overpayment would have to be ridiculous to get him to come here, like $10,000,000/season.
One fan gets it.

Can't some lip chap company sponsor him or something? Kinda feel bad for this $12.5M player.
