Race card is easy to play - much easier than saying "stop being so mean!".

Lowbrow and offensive? Yes. Racist? No.

Regarding the chant, a Tottenham spokesperson said: "[It] has been previously discussed with the Crown Prosecution Service, who do not consider it racist."

Elephant washing and prostitution are both well respected professions!

As someone from African decent who strongly dislikes the inappropriate use of the race card, I don't pull it out often and put a lot of thought into it when I do. Consequently, after careful consideration I believe this chant is infused with racism.

They know John Terry's dad is a drug dealer, I would bet the house that most of the United and Spurs supporters who sang the chant have no clue what Adebayor's father does for a living. It is ignorant and naive to think that the allegedly racist part of the chant was taking a dig at a profession with low status in society rather than its ethnic/regional nature. It wasn't a bunch of guys having a laugh because someone's father does a job people with little money and education do, it was a bunch of guys having a laugh because someone's father does a job people, who they think, have a lower or no human worth do.

Edit: After further thought I would rather not debate what does and does not constitute racism.

Portuguese teams dominating Europa League. Could have 3 teams reach the semi finals!!

Benfica up 4-1 over PSV. Porto demolished Spartak Moscos at home 5-1(loved that game being on TLN today). Braga got an important away goal for a 1-1 draw with Dynamo Kyiv.

Default Don't mind me....need to vent

Geez, stupid Chelsea!!!!! They have ZERO to show for this season!!! Ancelotti, start looking for a new job!!! I know he must feel pressure by Abramovich, but geez, why is Drogba on the bench and Torres and Anelka are playing?!?!?! Drogba has created 20 times the chances in half the amount of playing time!! Anelka has NO passion! Ancelotti can't get stick to a system that works. He's constantly changing his mind with this club. Do you think that putting on a defender (Ferreira) when you are down to goals with your final substitution will help?!!!!! Lampard, you have missed two glorious chances (at least that I've seen) in the last two games!!! What has happened to you?!?!?! Ramires, what were you thinking. Did you not feel like playing so you had to take a red?!?!?!? Malouda, oh, have you sucked for a few months now. For shame Chelsea, foooor shame!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay....I'm done. Sorry about that.

I don't think enough can be said about Ryan Giggs - the guy is amazing at 37 and was instrumental in both United goals.

And lol at Torres.

Messi is just too much of a force...if he had some consistent finishers, the score would not be even close. Maybe it's messi against everyone kinda thing....BARCA!!

was MOTM for me and playing out of position

I feel bad for Ancelotti at this point, it had to either be the call by Roman or just pressure to start Torres, Drogba right now is better

Too bad the officiating has been so shoddy. Spurs should've had a couple of penalties. Nice to see Huddlestone back in.
