I believe the answer to that one is yes. I think it is going to be a nominal fee (around $4) to port them over. The only exception (which kinda bites) is the Metallica song that is on RB1 will not be allowed to be brought into RB2. Some licencing conflict apparently.

They signed an exclusive deal with the Guitar Hero franchise who will be making a Guitar Hero: Metallica game. That's why Enter Sandman cant be transferred over.

The cover songs for Paranoid from Black Sabbath and Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden cant be transferred over for the same reasons as well.

The transfer fee for RB1 songs to RB2 was $5 on the 360.
This is great news for Wii fans, RB2 is a phenomenal game. This announcement comes about 10 months too late for me, personally.

From what I have read it will store on a SD card. There is an SD card slot on the Wii.

It's not that big of a deal is it? I think the ability to make setlists with songs from both games is worth the $5.

I agree, anyone who complains about paying $5 for the convenience of having all (but 4-5 songs) on one set list without having to switch discs should be shot.
Seriously, it's $5. Quit whining.

This is a joke right? You're complaining about a sequel of a game that actually lets you move the content from the first game over? wow.
All the songs needed to be re-licensed as they were all only purchased for use in 1 game. There was a cost associated with re-licensing and that's what you're paying for.

Yeah I agree. Quite surprised at the resentment of paying such a nominal fee to expand your song list into one game.
I think its a bargain. I will happily pay the $5 to save the inconvenience of having to switch to the neutered rock band 1 disc to grab some of my favorite songs.

Probably should order one from amazon just in case.

You still have to buy the $5 "key" thing to move them all.
