Got my mom and dad tickets to the Playoffs in 2016.

My mom wore her Flames jersey and my dad wore a red Stamps shirt. If it's red, it works people.

Are you watching from your basement where nobody will see you? Then maybe no.

Will anybody see you wearing white on a red day? Then absolutely no.

Can you wear a white Flames jersey when watching games 3&4 at a bar?

It's surprising how often you see people in the lower bowl wearing these fake Heritage Classic jerseys.

Back when playoff ticket prices were reasonable, I went to a game against Detroit, maybe in 2007 or something like that. I don't own a Flames jersey, so I wore my red Stampeders jersey.

On the way out of the dome, I was ridiculed for wearing my jersey by a fan wearing a white road jersey. I pointed out the colour of his jersey was wrong.

Who was in the right here?

Also, it’s acceptable to wear your jersey to the office on game days now.

If your boss gives you crap, just say ol CroFlames said it was OK.

I am flying in for the game Thursday. I have a white Gilmour jersey from the glory days. Am I going to wear it? Why no. No I am not! I am going to wear my plain, red, glorious retro jersey. I have modern red and white ones too. Bringing both red jerseys, but will match the team and wear the retro.

Go Flames Go

This post from 2006 is cringey.

The guy is trying too hard while at the same time criticizing other people for trying too hard.

Wow.
Taking this nearly as serious as Bouwmeester's new deal around here.
I'm all for the C of red, but if you have paid for a ticket you can where whatever you want. Certainly don't need a bunch of millennials on the internet telling you what's acceptable.
If I go to a game this playoffs (big if) I may choose to wear my Flames road jersey. I wore it to the last playoff game I went to and it didn't seem to generate any controversy.

Why would you, as a fan of the Flames, choose to actively not participate in one of the best traditions in the NHL and specifically the Flames?

Then calling out millennials as a result? LOL, yikes what a bad take.

Not sure I understand. I'm all for the idea of wearing red; I think it's great, but I just find it funny that there seems to be so much angst about it here.
Maybe I missed a key part of the thread and am not getting it but Scorpion's list of approved jerseys got me going.
It's all good. I just don't like to be told what I'm permitted to wear.

Looking for a flames flag, like 3’x5’. Anyone know where in town they’re in stock? I don’t want to wait for one to get shipped.

As for red in the Dome, I just recently ran into a co-worker I went to a playoff game with years ago (against the Blackhawks...2008?). 11 years later, and his main memory of that game was the awkwardness I made him feel due to his lack of red clothing. We managed to find a red and black jacket to put him in, but I was weighing the options on whether or not to ditch him.

Nice guy. Not enough red.

OK. Last time I got to go to a Flames playoff game was a last minute thing.
Rolled into Calgary an hour before puck drop and having no jersey I detoured to buy one. Sold out of reds so I bought my away jersey and wore it proudly. Still felt like part of the crowd and had a good time. No hassles with fans or anything.
The only reason I commented about wearing it again is because if I can manage to get to a game this year it is going to cost me a grand so I may not choose to afford a new jersey. I guess I could dig up something red, but the road jersey with the large red flaming C might have to serve. Not trying to offend anyone.
