Frank on Coast to Coast just said the Flames were looking to add Parekh to the team for the playoff push, I’m assuming after Saginaw gets eliminated early

As much as I'd love to see Parekh have a successful playoffs with Saginaw. With a loss in game 1, it's pretty exciting to think about him joining the Flames this year.

The 4th line has been so ineffective and has such low usage that I feel like you could easily go 11-7 to help protect him a bit too if needed.

I don't think after what has transpired (his season, the early injury to Schaefer and getting the mulligan, the eventual Canada loss) the snub can look any worse.

I mean as bad as all of that is... if he joins the Flames and helps them succeed at all that would definitely make them look worse.

I do not love the idea of burning a year on his contract this season but the experience can only be viewed as a good thing for him and an excellent reward for his monster season.

They’d only burn a year if he plays 10 games, I doubt it’s a factor.

Holy crap Saginaw got massacred in game 1. Was scoreless 5 minutes into the second period, then by the end of the 2nd it was 8-2 Erie. Three goals in the third for Saginaw but obviously not enough, 8-5 final, Parekh 2 assists, -2.

Have you noticed their goalies?

Kaleb Papineau 3.56 - 0.878
Andrew Oke 3.80 - 0.876
Samuel DiBlasi 9.34 - 0.690

Saginaw outshot Erie 37-25 but Papineau gave up 8 last night, out in 4 or 5 games is my guess

Yeah that's some horrible goaltending. We might be seeing Parekh here sooner than expected at that rate.

You would think a team with Misa and Parekh might try to go after at least average goalending at the deadline.

yeah, from a purely NHLe perspective, Dahlin and DeAngelo are the only two reasonable cohorts but a sample size of two in decades of prospects shows just how rare what Parekh achieved this season is.

Parekh-Dahlin
Spoiler!

Parekh-Gaudreau
- take with grain of salt as last I checked, Bader just uses one constant for all of the NCAA rather than splitting conferences by strength for some strange reason.

Spoiler!

Let him play the ten. Do everything to help the kid burn a year if he deserves it.

Did they not host last year? I know they won the Memorial Cup. Maybe they spent all their assets putting that team together.

It was only game 1, but if Saginaw loses in 6 or 7 games that means Parekh would be available around the 9th or 10th. Flames would have around 5 games left. If Saginaw gets by Guelph, he won't be suiting up for the Flames this year.

If you are going to lose you might as well get swept! 12 points in 4 games for Parekh with a -12. A Mcdavid special.
