So glad they got it over with tonight. They are a beat up bunch right now, 6 days of rest will do them some good.

It’s become “a thing” the three graduating 20 yr olds to be named the three stars of their final game.

If Bryce Pickford is still on the board in the 3rd round when it's the Flames turn to make their selection (I think it is pick #80), I think they should nab him. Right shot defenseman with a great shot, Alberta kid, he's now been part of two WHL Championship teams, I say why not?

Tigers Memorial Cup round robin schedule:

Friday May 23rd @ Rimouski (5pm MST)
Monday May 26th vs Moncton (5pm MST)
Tuesday May 27th vs London (5pm MST)

London is 71-12-2 (16-1 playoff record)
Moncton is 68-11-2 (15-2 playoff record)
Rimouski is 59-20-4 (13-6 playoff record)
Medicine Hat is 63-19-4 (16-2 playoff record)

Rimouski and Moncton are still playing with Moncton up 3 games to 1. Hopefully that sucker goes 7 games.

Rimouski forces a game 6 in the QMJHL Championship series.

Moncton won the QMJHL Championship earlier this afternoon in game 6 thus all four teams are off until this Friday when the Tigers take on Rimouski.

I don't watch the other 2 leagues so would London be considered the favorite?

I don't watch the other two leagues much either, but that seems to be the general consensus.

Ive watched London a number of times being in Kitchener area and watching the Rangers.

This team is a powerhouse, as usual, and finished as the top team in the OHL with 112 points. They have 8 players who are drafted to the NHL, this includes four players drafted in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft: Sam Dickinson, Sam O'Reilly, Jared Woolley, and William Nicholl. Additionally, Kasper Halttunen, Easton Cowan, Oliver Bonk, and Denver Barkey were also drafted in previous years.
Easton Cowan is leading the team in playoff points with 39 in 17GP. Sam Dickinson follows with 31.
They have mostly breezed through the playoffs beating Owen Sound 4 straight, Erie Otters 4 straight, Kitchener Rangers 4 straight and Oshawa Generals in 5 games to win the O. They are a tough, fast, big team that can beat you in a multitude of ways and are likely pretty pissed that they lost in the final last year.

The Hat should give them a good run this year, looking forward to watching that game.

I watched games 6 and 7 of the Moncton - Rimouski series in the QMJHL, it's always tough to make an assessment over such a small sample size, but Moncton looks to me to be the more dangerous team of the two. That said, anything can happen at the Memorial Cup and I like the fact that the Tigers get things started first against Rimouski, it won't be easy taking on the hosts, but the Tigers won three straight in a pretty hostile barn in Spokane, they should feel comfortable by now being in that type of environment.

I imagine the WHL again does poorly. No WHL team has win since the Oil Kings years ago.

Also, I don’t trust the integrity of junior hucjey since the Portland Cheater Hawks incident.

Lindstrom took the pre-game skate, but will not play tonight versus Rimouski.

So Rimouski is all kinds of dirty - Molendyk gets rammed into the end boards and Cataford just pitchforked Maneghin.

Tigers were steam rolling them until that stupid penalty by Pickford.

And yeah, Rimouski needs to quit crashing the ####ing net. Or at least the refs could stop letting them get away with it.

None of that happens if Jonas Woo gets the puck out of the zone. I agree though, Pickford needs to be smarter.

Also, Craig Button thinks Cataford should have been tossed for spearing Meneghin. I can't say I disagree.

Those dumb penalties (too many men) usually come back to haunt you. Tigers down 1 with 20 minutes left.

Bryce Pickford should shoot every time he has the puck on his stick.
