The chickens were lesbians so telling their story didn’t really work as well for prestige television.
Yes well I have to try to answer these vital questions. For example, at the start, she doesn't care about granny chewing up her family, or even the little one gunned down by the military, she is worried about what happened to the dog, after he ran. She does not care if all humans die. She wants to know that all animals are protected.
I thought the 3rd episode was a really strong glimpse into what are truly are “the last of us”. A little piece of remaining humanity.
Because he really should have just shot him in the hole. Or not even wasted the bullet and let him starve there.
I’m liking the show, but have a tough time with things that exist in most things like this. Questions like: why would you ever go into a dark hole? Wouldn’t any sane person just stay in the house wired for intruders and full of supplies and ammo?
Neat to see Jeffrey Pierce (voice of Tommy from the games) here and the song True Faith was done by Lotte Kestner (along with a version by Ashley Johnson on the Last of Us soundtrack in Part 2).
And as part of a crazy amazing extended commercial of Part 2 (adding extra spoilers here for obvious reasons) where the voice actor for Ellie sings it.
