I get David Ferrer vibes from Pegula, she's very good in several areas yet doesn't really excel in any one department.

Women's semi-finals are set:
Rybakina vs Azarenka
Linette vs Sabalenka
I'm thinking it will be a Rybakina vs. Sabalenka final with Rybakina winning the title

It's quiet in here like it is in Melbourne. Rod Laver arena is half full for this session. All the stars are gone.
Shelton is for real though. Has all the shots.

Paul was up 2 sets and broke to go up 43 in the 3rd. Shelton had done nothing on Paul's serve but somehow breaks twice to steal the 3rd set 75. Game on!

Djokovic just dominant. Thought rublev would give his hamstring a workout. Looking at just the score, that doesn't appear to be the case.

I like Rublev but I'm not sure if he's ever going to get over the hump and win a grand slam. He has a great forehand but the rest of his game isn't anything that's going to scare an elite player like Djokovic. Good on Paul to make his first grand slam semifinal but it kind of looks like it's going to be pretty anticlimactic final with Djokovic winning his 10th AO title.

It's time to dust off the Stanimal he's the only one capable of beating Djokovic in Australia.
The way Djokovic is playing in Australia he may complete the Grand Slam this year, I just don't see how anyone can beat him right now. The only two players I have confidence in beating him are both injured right now.

After last night, Rublev is now 0-7 when trying to advance to a grand slam semi-final. Rublev won 4 titles in 2022, but they were all at the 250 or 500 level. I think that tough match against Rune took a lot of steam out of Andrey and you need to be at your best to even have a chance against Novak especially in Australia.

I'm pulling for Paul but it's going to be a tall task for him to win a single set.
