Woodcroft already seemingly desperate. Massive line shakeup for tonight's game. What better time than game 5 of a tied series in the playoffs to try out 4 new line combinations?
4-2 LA with an EN. LA in 6.

It is listed here: https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/h...rep-for-game-5
Basically:
#1 #91 E. Kane #97 C. McDavid #56 K. Yamamoto
#2 #71 R. McLeod #29 L. Draisaitl #18 Z. Hyman
#3 #15 J. Archibald #93 R. Nugent-Hopkins #13 J. Puljujarvi
#4 #37 W. Foegele #10 D. Ryan #44 Z. Kassian
I don't get it. Edmonton has been the better of the teams, at least according to Natural Statrick. Seems like an overreaction. I guess we'll see.

They aren’t new nor massive line changes. Yamamoto has played considerable time with McD and Kane. Jesse and Hyman have moved to different lines all year. It’s just a coaching decision going with the players playing best. Puljujarvi hasn’t been playing well, these changes are mostly about his lack of production.

In honor of Draft Lottery Day that looks like a quality Mclotto Mclineup .... it took many years of fail to gather that collection of players

It’s always been a toss up. Kings play a strong team game and (theoretically) have better goaltending and team D. Oilers have two thermonuclear offensive weapons and not much else, but it’s often enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if either won or lost — but I’d sure be happier if LA came through.

I've only watched portions of the games, but that wasn't my observation. I'm still new to these advanced stats but Natural Statrick seems to suggest that he's been okay as well. Last game he was in the top 5 on the team for CF and xGF. In game 3 he was top on the team in CF and xGF. Perhaps he's trying to get the third line going.

Like many times in the year he’s been putting up decent advanced stats but he’s not scoring and he’s on the top line. I’m not saying, I even agree with the change, but this is not new. It’s been an ongoing thing all year, whether that’s good or not, I’m not sure. Personally I like lines to stay together for the most part but obviously there are times to change them up. The coach knows the team better than I do.

Now that it’s tied by Lord Kassian, what’s the over / under on the wave starting up?

Not sure what happened. Oilers game plan worked as it did all year.
Get ****kicked all game.
Couple of gimme PPs jab some adrenaline into the Oilers' beaten corpse.
Just enough to drag them across the finish line into 3 on 3 overtime ...oh wait. HAHA! Man the Oilers are stupid. They probably actually thought they had a chance. HAHA!!!

Very deserving indeed.
Between the headbutt and being PP'd back into the game after being utterly dominated at even strength, they absolutely had to lose.

You have to think the Oilers are pretty rattled after that one. The Kings have them figured out, and they know it.
