Colorado was caught in their own end, but Kadri was snoozing and didn't realize Kiviranta slipped back into the slot wide open.

Ah well. Dallas is one of those teams that swims in mediocrity with a bunch of holes in the lineup for a bunch of seasons. Then suddenly they put it all together and make the conference finals out of the blue. Seems they do that a once or twice each decade. Not surprised they won this one, but I really wanted to see Mackinnon take a run at Gretzky's record and elevate his status as best in the league.

That was a fun series to watch.

It was a nice move to just back up and find that space

Sekera from behind the net, who knew?

Officially cheering for anyone in the East. Dallas, Vegas, or Vancouver? #### that.

The last two goals by that Kiviranta kid were very confident.

I guess when you get randomly chucked into a game 7 on a team you barely play for, there's no pressure - you can just take a crack at it.

Great series. Still not persuaded the Stars are that good, but their fast-and-loose play combined with Colorado's, and the Avs lack of a proper goalie, made this a heck of a fun series.

If the Canucks go through, that will mean whoever the West's representative in the Finals is will be a heck of a long-shot.

crazy how Dallas gets these huge contributions from players that didn't really do a lot before? Gurianov and now Kiviraanta?

does this change how ppl see the calgary loss? Dallas could be just getting better too...

Let's not forget Tampa in the east. I think I'd puke if that stupid team won. Anyone but Vancouver is a lesser evil than that.

Undrafted free agent signing, this was his 11th NHL game.

Love that it was Oilers castoff Sekera with the setup, and perennial ######bag Kadri losing his man on that winning goal.

Yep, atypical 8th seed last year and another good team this year.

Guiranov was their leading goal scorer this year, Kiviranta is a healthy scratch. I’m not sure I see the connection.

Colorado will be back. Kind of happy to see Dallas not choke it away.

Now we just need Vegas to take care of business.

Wild. I thought the Avs would for sure go all the way to the finals. Injuries didn't help, for sure.

Was watching on a delay. That's an outstanding game 7. One of the best in recent memory. I was hoping for the Avs to win because they're more fun, but I'll take a game like that any day.

Worth noting... Mackinnon and Makar, 0 points on the big stage. Going to cause some questions to be asked.

Yet I bet more than a few fans in other cities we're looking at guys like Dube and Andersson and wondering where they came from? One Dallas wag asked "Who's the homeless guy that scored the 2 goals?" after Dube potted 2 in the 1st game.

I think it does change some perceptions. The team still needs to find a BIG physical RW with a great shot by hook or by crook. They may not find that guy this fall. I suspect there will be a shake up trade however not a clue who other teams are calling about.I wouldn't get wrapped up in goalie wars this year.
