Today’s game, 3rd game in 4 days, shows how important it is to not have a goalie lose you games like Smith did in Boston. We should have won that game, and if we had then seeing a tired performance like today is much less of an issue.
As it is, the Boston loss coupled with what looks like an exhausted team today makes for a rough road trip.

Eastern teams a far more used to the afternoon games. They occur every weekend down East. Western teams have a huge disadvantage when the NHL stacks the deck against them.

Flames just don't have it today. I don't know if it's fatigue or whatever from 3 games in 4 days, but the entire team looks off. Passes not connecting, forecheck is non-existent, and defensively sloppy. Rittich and Gaudreau are the only ones who have shown up today, and even Johnny looks off.

1st PP has looked like this for a few games now. Everybody just assuming someone else will make the play, especially in our own zone. Pretty disappointed with Monahan's effort. Gaudreau walks around two guys to enter the zone and dishes him the puck, and he fires a grenade into Gio's skates with time and space.

Just need a good few minutes from this team to salvage this poor game.

The fatigue is certainly showing.

Just no offensive flow today. Would be nice if the offense didn’t dry up when their goalie actually provides them with a good game.

Pretty sure Tampa would be winning this game.
If not for JG we aren’t even in it.

How about Jankowski, Backlund, Hathaway and Chill and Andersson on point? Can't be worse than the current 2nd unit.

Agreed. Every fan base thinks there is a bias against their favorite team. There is no bias or conspiracy against the Flames, be it reffing or national play by play telecasts.

They are exhausted. This is an unusual amount of hockey for an nhl team to be playing in such a short period

Nice and easy one and done shots. Hart hasn't been challenged this game.

Hathaway is a decent player, but no.
