At some point personal responsibility is the order of the day.
It's how Scotty Bowman could twice make trading Paul Coffey away his top priority.

When any pk takes away the Flames cross ice pass on the PP the Flames staff seriously has no plan B answer for their units.

Take out all the vowels in Varlamov and you have the sound of the horseshoe being removed.

We certainly don’t have a hate to lose locker room.

Leadership by example trumps enthusiastic orators.

I want gio to shoot it more on the PP, he's so good at getting it through and Varlamov has been giving up juicy rebounds

Agree with kypreos, that Bennett hit really initiated a push back.

-New Coach (New System)
-Many New Key players
-4.5 games in
-.500 record
-game 3 was one of the finest single night performances for this organization in years.
Lets give it a bit before we pull out the gasoline and matches, a 2 and 2 start isn't even a burn it down record in the NFL where there's only 16 games and a full eighth fewer teams make the playoffs.

Colorado is a good team on home ice, one of the best over the last little bit

I think it's an unfair question to single out one player as the reason why an entire 24 man team doesn't succeed. If you want leadership on the ice, I have a hard time finding anyone better in the league than Gio. If you want a rah-rah guy, that style died out a long time ago. Players are accountable to themselves and their contributions to the team now. Their contracts depend on it. Turnover in the league is far more common than it used to be. They don't need anyone in the dressing room telling them to work harder because about 10 players are gunning for their jobs.
This is the new reality in the NHL. Lead on the ice, by example. Everything else is secondary.

Siiiiick of goaltenders flopping around in desperation and still stopping everything we throw at the net.
That can end in the third.

Benny’s hit was huge. Goal was nice too. Him and Neal look to be building a nasty gritty line that can score. I like it a lot

Kypreos thinks Bennett can be a solid 3rd line winger. Things are looking up!!

Great period for the guys. The refs have been horrible as usual. That quick whistle when the Puck was behind the goalie was absolutely garbage. The offside whistle when Mony was breaking out was horrible. I won't even talk about Anderson getting killed. Chucky has to bury that! But you cannot love him, so we forgive him. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. If Rittich started last game we win.

This game has been pretty well played by both teams. A huge contrast to Rangers v. Oilers.
