Tuulola is ####ing awesome.

Dominated for an entire shift basically all by himself.

Tried the lacrosse style goal behind the net, then recovered spun and ripped it top corner.

Eetu Tuulola just had some kind of shift to finish off his hat trick. I love this guy.

I know I take the occasional shot at the kid too but this part here is such bull####. Gillies has only been back on the ice what 16 times now? It is not unusual to feel discomfort and for the team to be cautious. To think OMG this is a chronic problem says more about your paranoia than anything the kid said. Which the kid stated clearly was hearsay, which is more than most journalists do. I would also say holding a teenager who is excited to share information to the same standards as mainstream media is awfully sad and pathetic.

Which two forwards has Tuuola been playing alongside mostly so far?

- Matty Tkachuk was bowled over early to start the second, and he was soaked! He slid through a particularly moist part of the just-flooded ice.

- Oliver Kylington has a nice stretch pass. He can really find guys in open ice.

- Kanzig is now splitting the defense. Who is this guy and what did he do with Keegan?

- Phillips is really crafty. I hate to put such lofty expectations on an 18-year-old kid... but he looks like Johnny out there.

- Dillon Dube made a nice move on the defense, putting the puck through his legs, but was a bit too deep in the zone and he hit the side of the net.

- Janko tried to do the same move. He failed. He's definitely trying to do too much.

- Tkachuk then failed at doing the same move. Guys, we get it, you can do it.

- Right after, Tkachuk had a nice forecheck. Eased a guy off the puck with success.

- Rempal has been pretty impressive. He just rang one off the bar with a hard shot.

- The goalies have been uniformly successful. Parsons has been good down low, like yesterday. He has yet to be tested up high.

- Nick Schneider also looks very good, although he hasn't been tested much.

- Nice give-and-go by Hickey. He's a good passer.

- Wilson just hit Dyukov into the boards in what I said was "textbook boarding".

- Dyukov made a nice move on his penalty shot, but didn't get a lot on his backhand. Stopped by Parsons.

- Rasmus Andersson took a nice shot off a good pass from Janko, but he was stopped by Parsons who swallowed up the rebound. Parsons has very good rebound control.

- Tuulola's a pretty good stickhandler.

- Hunter Smith skated off injured after a collision with Kenney Morrison. He was pressing a towel to his face after he skated off the ice.

- Tkachuk had a couple of good chances shortly after.

- Dyukov is also quite fast. He out-Kylington'ed Kylington.

- Eetu Tuulola just scored some kind of goal after some kind of shift. One word: something else.

- Phillips should be arrested for pickpocketing.

- Nick Schneider showed off his acrobatic play late in the second, stretching across the crease to stop a shot off a deke.

- Kylington can work the puck really well.

- Tuulola was my first star of the game, without a doubt. A fantastic showing.

Tuulola with a big reverse check into Harrison, he protects the puck like a beast.

E2 - not bad.

I like U2.

ET doesn't work for me.

neither does Lola.

Big thanks to everyone with your comments - exciting to read about our prospects

Shootout:

Doucet: stopped quite easily.

Janko: tried to pull the Forsberg. Failed.

Fox: nice move, very good puck handling.

Ollas Mattsson: lost the puck on the deke.

Bowles: stopped by the glove of Schneider.

Sevigny: lots of kick fakes, hit the right post.

Wilson: nice shot, got it past Schneider.

Dyukov: tried the Patrick Kane vs. the Wild(?) thing on the Iginla from a few years back when he stopped and pulled a million moves in front of the net. Stopped.

Harrison: ran out of options, got too close to the goalie.

Carroll: lost the puck.

Kanzig: faked a slap shot, went for the deke. Stopped easily.

Mattson: shot one about five feet over the net.

Burke: faked one way, roofed it over the shoulder of Schneider.

Dube: stopped slightly before firing one in the net.

Hickey: pulled a move, but was stopped by the blocker of Schneider.

Thought hickey, fox and Morrison all looked quite good for team white.
Very impressed with tuuola (sp?).
