The amount of whining on the USWNT is hilarious even for a soccer team. Theyre like a team full of Crosbys. It's pretty much impossible to root for them.

Morgan needs to put the blue ribbon thing in her hair like Johnston to make it a fair comparison.

So USA should beat China. Germany-France will be a great game but I think Germany wins. So a German-USA semis.
Crazy that 4 of the 5 top teams in the world are on that side of the draw. Germany-France is at minimum 1 round too early. Should be a semifinal game.
Penalty kick again

The one ref's assistant from yesterday's Canada game tops them all. That's probably enough objectification for this thread.

lol. Onto the soccer.......
Not looking past opponents but it's shaping to be a Germany-US semis. IF Germany beats France in the quarters, I don't see anyone beating them.

China is well organized. USA without Rapinoe will find it difficult

I'd bet $100 on Germany winning this tournament and wouldn't even think twice.

Not really. Colombia isn't very good compared to them. Their only hope was a 0-0 draw and going to penalties. US is the number 2 team in the world. They fouled them twice in the box. Dumb moves.

To add, Colombia had no hope. This is their 3rd recent meeting and US has out scored them 8-0

England already talking crap.
Julie Stewart-Binks @JSB_FOX
England's Lucy Bronze told me today on facing Canada, "the Queen's on the coin for a reason."

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
So Edmonton's had pretty bad attendance all tournament, or does it just seem that way because of the large stadium?
It seems the opener was really hyped up and they wanted to beat the old record for attencance, but even the second Canadian game seemed pretty sparse, and some of these other games have looked abysmal on TV.
Hell, it seems half that US crowd was Americans who made the trip up, what would it have been without them, like 5 sections full?
