Had an idea!

Only question mark I had was Kunitz and some of the passengers in the early games. Glad I was wrong on both.

Are you sure that was the only question mark you had, you seemed quite concerned for the majority of the week?

I don't know why people crap all over Luongo, okay I do know why but still. He's a class act and a pretty funny guy.

Great game it was! Proof that Sweeden had it way too easy going all the way to the finals. They were no match for Canada.
Was kinda funny watching luongo, Smith and Subban getting their medals. I know, that's the way it goes sometime, but funny nevertheless.

That Kunitz goal was an absolute laser. What a back breaker. I must have watched the replay a dozen times. It reminded me of some of Glencross' best snipes. i hope we get to see a few of those in our remaining games.

It's meant as a joke, sorry. Given that the goofy smile looks anything but miserable...

Most dominating defensive effort I've ever seen. Great team did the country proud, so happy that I am Canadian.
If we go back in 2018 these guys will be veterans and we will have stamkos and more scary good. Plus we don't have a question in net, the price is right.

I have to say that while it's kind of boring that Canada won again (for non-Canadians), they absolutely deserved the win. Not a flashy team, but generally that's the way you win these tournaments.
This was IMO the best Team Canada I have seen. The offense might have been somewhat dry, but the work ethic and team play was on another level from what is usually seen from the North American teams. (That's not to say that the team play before has been bad.) Babcock did a great job.
The US teams have been getting better in this all the time too, so I would imagine it's partly also a result of how the olympics have become more important to the North American players.
Also, thank you handing Sweden their asses

I shake my head at myself, because I can recall watching price struggle on national tv one night, and I was thinking about starting a thread to discuss any nervousness we had over the goaltending....seemed like there was nothing to worry about given the overall team defence.

Before the Olympic games started I thought Team Canada's weakest link is their goaltending and our offense will be our strongest assets but I have to admit I was wrong all along. Carey Price was awesome in this tournament and he's pretty much lights out. Our forwards with the likes of Sid, Toews, Getzlaf, Perry, Nash and others who normally like to score goals played well preventing the other team to score. An awesome total team effort playing defensive hockey. Hats off to GM Stevie Y and company picking players with characters, star players who would do anything for the team. Also hats off to the coaching staff Mike Babcock especially. To me, he is by far the best coach in the NHL right now. It is well worth waking up very early this morning.
