If we could get him cheap, say, 1.5 for 1 year, I'd be all over that.

Why?
This team doesn't need short term solutions to try and get into 9-11th spot and certainly not at the crowded goalie situation that arguably not improved with Bryz added.
They need to take their lumps this year and see what they have with Ramo and possibly Berra. No need to take games away from them by adding Bryzgalov even if he came for free.

That's my point. No question we can score so far (2 games in) but in goal it's been meh. Do we want to upgrade there or just go with what we have and see what happens? Bryz's just begging for a phone call right now.

Bryz also had a history of disrupting the locker room. So we risk that? What's the payoff? The d is pretty bad too, so a good goalie alone won't get us much further...

Absolutely no reason to look to Bryz.
If, 50 or so games from now, it has been determined that neither Ramo, Berra or Ortio is ready to play in the NHL, then you have to look externally.
But right now, you play your guys and see what you've got.
No upside, only downside (not giving your own guys playing time) to bringing in a guy like him.
