What this series has taught me, is that whichever team advances, neither really stands a chance against most of the west teams. Way too much pond hockey played in the east and the top western teams defensive groups will grind them all into a fine powder.

That said, go Isles!

Thing is, you're coming out of the west bruised and battered. I wonder what the results would be if it was East vs West for the first round. #1 West vs #1 East, #2 West vs #2 East, etc.

I was wondering what Morrow was up to there. It looked really weird.

The penguins are fully capable of playing good defense. It's just as soon as Fleury starts looking shaky they lose focus. They really need to get rid of him if they get knocked out in the first round again.

I don't think that really matters much honestly. Injuries aside of course but those seem to happen just as frequently to teams playing in the east.

Looks like they are going to ride it out and keep Fleury in no matter what. Don't understand it, but...

Really? Fleury made those two huge saves in game 7 that won them the cup. Luongo let in soft goals on home ice and loss game 7 and the cup. Fleury has been bad but at least he has shown up when it matters.

Who would want Fleury? Might be the 30th best goaltender in the league making all-star money.

I dont know why Bylsma keeps riding Fleury. If I was coaching Pit he wouldnt see another game this series.

Just eat the contract and let him ride the bench. I can't think of a worse goalie right now.

Ridiculous statement.

In his 7 seasons he has:

6 allstar appearances (would have been 7,none this year)
Calder Trophy
2 Art Ross Trophys
Hart Trophy (MVP)
Ted Lindsay Award
Conn Smythe Trophy (Playoffs' MVP)

I would take him even if he gaffs once a game like he just did.

Missed game three. Wish I hadn't. This crowd is awesome and makes it fun to watch.
