NHL 13 Thread

Don't want to go through the whole thread so sorry if this has been answered. But an issue I had with Madden 13 is that there is no local multiplayer franchise/season mode. Is that available in NHL13? Thanks in advance

After going into My Pro and then selecting the Hockey Shop, it wont let me purchase any Slots or Attributes???

It says "There is no content available for download at this time. Please try again later"

Does anyone else get this message or know why the downloads aren't available the same day the game is released?

Yep, I can't access the boosts either. I just came on here to complain about the same thing lol. Hopefully they'll fix it soon!

Great game so far, really dig the skating. Only knock might be the hitting, needs some more polish. Look forward to getting into the GM mode.

The team my Hut pack gave me is a joke. Supposed to get some players from your fave team...
It gave me 5, four of whom don't play for the team anymore. Any idea how to reset?

You still have regular Be A GM from previous years offline. Can't control multiple teams. But in season mode you can.

Me and some buddies started a gm connected league, and when we trades our players they don't show up on the teams. I'm the commissioner and I approve all the trades. Anybody k ow what's up?

How do you access the "CCM Boost pack featuring the all new CCM RBZ hockey stick"?

Love the skating it feels much better and normal.

Had a couple hours to play.

Skating is an abomination, the players move like mac trucks. That, and they seem to have little fast forward moments constantly whenever a hit is about to occur or the puck comes near them. Its completely faulty.

The hitting physics have been totally destroyed. Players are flying through the air on the slightest contact, and any little bump knocks you off the puck, good luck trying to power forward through anyone.

The same glitch goals are scoring for me, lame.

If I hadn't heard claim that they had worked extensively on the AI, I would have assumed they did nothing at all. Yes I went in and made custom AI for my team, but they still play the exact same way regardless. Too many times players do not react to the play or a puck will sit 3 feet away from a CPU player and they will just stare at the puck until the other team Skates over at full speed and picks it up.

This game boils down to a very mediocre graphics enhancement and some new modes.

Weak.

EDIT: And OMG, one huge huge bug in Be a GM was never fixed, they actually broke it worse. Attempting to make roster moves between the NHL and AHL is impossible. You move a player down or up, you cant access that team to put them in the right roster spot, you will only be able to access either the AHL OR the NHL team. So then you have to tell the Ass. GM to make the best line up ruining anything you made before.

This happens after any trades or injuries. Incredibly fustrating.

So annoying. I always edit my NHL/AHL rosters and it sucks having to change everything back instead of just inserting a player or two.


I was having a hard time scoring goals earlier today, but am starting to get a bit better at it. Ive managed to score some cross crease goals, but its much more rare and the goalie usually gets a piece of it.

From what I read, you get a code with the Stanley cup edition nhl 13. If you bought the regular one, like myself, I have no idea.

The only real major difference I have found so far is that stick checking is much more usable than in previous editions. I agree with the checking and skating. The skating works well on some players, but most are just chunky.

Love that they got rid of the after whistle stuff. Really speeds up the game.

Have only played a few games but I am noticing a lack of penalties and more specifically interference calls. Sliders on default with pro difficulty. I think the penalty slider is two notches from max.
