I don't know what you meant, but it's:
- been posted in the thread:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpos...&postcount=590
- included in the Sun poll (as 707 5th Street)
- under 200m, and thus not part of that specific discussion

I hate Kings on Fourth and hope it gets redesigned into something better, it is a train wreck of mismatched styles. Since it was first proposed many better buildings have come about or been proposed also.
Step your game up Lacaille.

Go back to the old design! I know, I know. I'm the only one who preferred it. I actually like Vogue and Five West individually too, it's only because they're all in the same area that Vogue looks like Five West's mismatched triplet.

Large fixed decorative section on top of the Bow, only to be revealed after Brookfield Place is complete.

Theoretically, if they scrapped plans for the small Bow South building, is that lot big enough to accommodate another 250-300m complex?
Or would that just totally ruin all the lovely views that they spent $1B on?

Looks great, always loved that viewpoint. Funny how Petro Canada went from dominating the skyline only a few years ago, to soon becoming filler.
I'm not thrilled about the driverless car era that's apparently soon upon us, however.

Looking at the Calgary tower, the picture tells me that we need to start getting some hi-rises over the tracks so then the action doesn't stop at 9th ave.

I believe that they have used floor area allowance from that block to add to the North block.
They probably can't build too tall on the south block.
Not too mention that most of the parking for the north block is under the south block, and any parking required for a larger building would be difficult to add.

And I, for one, welcome our new driverless car overlords.
Sometimes you're too tired, drunk, lazy or can't stop playing with your phone and shouldn't be driving anyways.

I just dropped the little streetview man in the middle of the word "BELTLINE" on Google maps, and the first guy you see is this rocker dude with a nazi eagle biker jacket: I bet his camo man-purse is stuffed with stolen extension cords.
Navigate around to get a front view of the guy... even more disturbing.

Just saw this on Calgaryhearld.com, probably already in this thread already however.
Quote:
Another office tower is being proposed that would add to a growing list of Calgary downtown developments, the Herald has learned.
GWL Realty Advisors has plans for a second tower — this one 28 storeys — at the First Canadian Centre location in the heart of Calgary, where the first West Tower of 41 storeys was completed in 1982.
The site, at the northwest corner of the junction of 7th Avenue and 2nd Street S.W., was originally intended many years ago for a 64-storey office tower but was laid out as a park during a downturn in the office market.
