Thats just one of the hundreds of tornadoes spawned by Milton.

This is a crazy time lapse as to how insane this storm surge is.

Pure devastation.

That was posted yesterday morning according to timestamp. So was that from a previous storm?

Not from that video because that's just one sort of ancillary tornadoish water spout thing, but in general, I haven't seen anything that's made me go "wow, that was absolutely as bad as everyone was making it out to be a couple of days ago". Probably tons of property damage regardless but doesn't seem like the apocalyptic thing people were making it out to be.

It’s from 2022

It’s also daylight and we all saw it hit land last night… and overnight…

Here are the photos of the aftermath.

Bad, but not any different from photos we see every year after the annual hurricane hits the southern USA.

Yeah as I said the Floridians I work with didn't seem that concerned (take that with salt).

They seem to think that little by little Florida buildings are becoming hurricane proof as the old ones are destroyed and new ones built.

The lightning wall from the hurricane storms are insane. Apparently dozens of tornadoes too.

Yeah we have close friends in Wellington who literally watched a Tornado go down one of their highways. It was pretty intense yesterday in areas just a short drive from us.

We experienced the most mild effects from this storm and still had multiple power outages. Thankfully that was the only problem for us. Other parts of the state? They're going to need help for a while.

Orlando didn't get hit that hard but I wonder if this method would do anything if it did.

Meteorologists are facing death threats as a result of conspiracy theories:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...misinformation

Quote:
Meteorologists tracking the advance of Hurricane Milton have been targeted by a deluge of conspiracy theories that they were controlling the weather, abuse and even death threats, amid what they say is an unprecedented surge in misinformation as two major hurricanes have hit the US.
A series of falsehoods and threats have swirled in the two weeks since Hurricane Helene tore through six states causing several hundred deaths, followed by Milton crashing into Florida on Wednesday.

The extent of the misinformation, which has been stoked by Donald Trump and his followers, has been such that it has stymied the ability to help hurricane-hit communities, according to the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema).

On one hand, you might think people would have to be absolutely ####ing stupid to live in a place that can easily get wiped out by hurricanes that come by over and over again every single year, year after year. To the point where insurance companies won't even bother with your dumb ass.

But to have these people think it's a problem with the weathermen you see on TV and want to try to kill them. Well ####, maybe they are all stupid.

Strapping down the house - interesting! She said each strap, I think there were 6, holds about 5400 lbs of force. Assuming they learned how much lift force there is in a Cat 4-5 hurricane, probably 30,000 lbs of lift prevention would be enough.

As long as you are in an area that cannot flood or get hit by a storm surge.

I guess if you want to live there, it makes sense to try and do something, as insurance companies wont even insure a home from a hurricane. I cant imagine living with the stress of knowing you might have to rebuild your entire home, at your cost, once, twice or even 4 or 5 times in a lifetime.

Maybe those lunatics who blame God for natural disasters because people are sinners are on to something.

God: "Look. Guys...I keep trying to clean Florida but the Floridians keep coming back!!!"
