Just popping in to this thread and this post seemed oddly placed. I just went back a few pages. Is this rooted a long time ago in this thread, or in some alternate reality where it is a significant theme?

I just spent the last 5 minutes, with Wolf and Nancy making asses of themselves playing in the background, searching the last 160 posts in this thread and exactly zero contain any of the made up BS accusations that tkflames is claiming exist. What a ridiculous post.

Nancy Pelosi may have once been a great politician but she’s at least 20 years past her best before date. She rambled and rambled and rambled. If that was Mayor Pete, he would have annihilated Wolf in that interview for his over the top comments/questions. And Pete would have easily knocked it out of the park on some of the more coherent but tough questions.

Her ability to explain that coherently gets an F from me. She convinced me of nothing except that she’s the Dems version of Moscow Mitch, albeit a very light watered down version.
She’s exhibit #1 on why there need to be term and age limits in politics.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. I think Mayor Pete is the new face of the party next election cycle. He and Andrew Yang. For better or for worse.

Hate to say it because I’m usually an idiot or because you don’t like having to badmouth the Dems leadership?

A little from column A, a little from column B.

He must be aware of that, but he thinks VOTERS don’t know. That was the funniest part about that video: “many people don’t know that I’m a senior citizen.”
Uh, Don. We know. The spray tan hasn’t fooled anyone for a very long time.

Way too many polls in the last 48 hours but relatively few high quality state polls, I think it’s fair to say:
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...ident-general/
A couple of notable exceptions: NYT/Siena college had Biden up 51-41 in Wisconsin and 48-40 in Michigan two days ago, and Ipsos has Biden up 51-45 or so (depending on likely voter model) in both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Emerson College has Biden up 51-48 in Florida, which makes way more sense than the 10 point lead Quinnipiac have him a week ago and very close to a result from Florida Atlantic University as well. I think Florida is going to be close.
Add to that a slew of Morning Consult and Monmouth battleground polls and it adds up to Biden being up by high single digits in most of the key battlegrounds including the likely tipping point states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. He also leads by low single digits (within the margin of error) in North Carolina and trails slightly in nice to have states that he doesn’t need to win (Ohio, Texas, Georgia).
Arizona is harder to figure out but it’s possible he has something of a firewall building between North Carolina and Arizona that would allow him to lose Pennsylvania or Wisconsin and still win the election. If Trump loses Florida or North Carolina it’s probably game over.
Meanwhile, over 13.3 million people have already voted including over 20% of 2016 turnout in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Mostly shocking it took this long for us to get here, but I guess it's Hail Mary season after all so it was inevitable.

I'll probably regret asking this, but why is this a non-story? Is it normal that the son of a powerful political figure be given a high paying job that he is in no way qualified for by a company that wants (and supposedly got) access to his father?

I'll second this. The news is so sensationalist its hard to find actual explanations of what happened here.
Anyone have any non-paywall sources that describe exactly what we know and why it is an issue?
BTW, this is such a problem for me when it comes to the crap being put out by most publications and the nightly news. Everything is a 30s coles notes followed by 3 minutes of partisan messaging and some idiot "political expert" who adds zero context to the story. Meanwhile I'm left with more questions when the story is over than when it began.
It's so bad, I actually get excited when I find in depth reporting. And yes, I'm a hypocrite for wanting free quality news.
