Maybe the Reds will sweep the Jays and we can end this charade. Cheer for a feel good underdog with a Canadian legend playing for them. Not this overhyped bunch of losers that could give a crap about playing baseball.

That's it Ms. Beat up on those Astros.

Show us what a real playoff team is supposed to do.

Out of a playoff spot but glad they got Bo and George more rest. Dumb team man

Edit: just had a day off and they have a day off monday too. Not like they are in a playoff race

Keep in mind that the Jays have a butter soft schedule coming up. The team needs to win the rest of the series against the Reds and at least one against the Orioles so that they can be positioned to push back ahead of the Mariners with a run in the upcoming series.

One of the rehab games that Bo was supposed to play was postponed due to rain which might have pushed back his return to the Jays by a game. They likely wanted to see how his knee would respond to the rehab appearances before putting him in.

I’m as critical of Schneider as anyone but I don’t hate the decision to give him the day. We absolutely should have won the game with or without him and I’d hate to rush to get back into the lineup only to have tendon issues flare up and force him to go back on the IL.

The Bo off day made sense. The Springer off day didn’t.

The DeJong deal was low risk (gave up a non prospect) and highly necessary. Espinal is lucky that DeJong was de-terrible because Espinal barely outplayed him.

The Mitch White deal last year was an absolute miss and pretty obviously poor from the get go. The mistake the Jays made this year wasn’t the DeJong deal but the deals that they didn’t make. I know that no good bats were moved at the deadline but management needed to know long before the deadline that they needed a real bat to add to the middle of the lineup. Many of the teams that were up for selling weeks out made a run towards the deadline and put themselves out of the market. The Jays should have addressed the issue a month or so prior to the deadline.
