Speargrass is under $100, if you want to drive. I wouldn't advise playing there until it rains.

I think D'Arcy Ranch is right at $100, maybe a bit less after 2 on weekends.

Serenity, you slime. So annoying.

What is dynamic pricing?
Dynamic pricing is a value pricing model in which costs for a product or service fluctuate in real-time based on supply and demand. If you've ever shopped for a Flames ticket, flight, or a hotel room online, or called an Uber, you're familiar with the concept. We will now price our tee times similar to the NHL and the hotel industry. Our prices will rise and fall with the availability.

How are prices determined?
Our tee sheet software automatically uses an algorithm based on historical data as well as a combination of real-time information such as time, day, weather and, most importantly, demand to determine its online tee time prices. Our BASE rate is ALWAYS set up to 7 days in advance and then at 6 days in advance, it adjusts as tee times fill in or are left vacant. This 7 day window gives you the opportunity to secure your tee time at the same posted rate each week.

I'm about done with good golf courses in this city, honestly, it's just too much even with a decent salary.

I'll just stick to the outskirts and twilight. **** I hate golf in this city since Covid. I'm not paying $400 a month to golf four times, **** this city. How many can actually afford that?

If you can get times, the best deal is the city and the easy-pass. You get a discount on the tee times, and sure those courses aren’t amazing, but they’re decent enough.

New best round to date! Shot a 92 with two birdies and two blow up holes, +5 on a par 5 and +4 on a par 3. Was really excited with how I played. Getting close to breaking that ever elusive 90!

Shot 80 at Mt Kidd on Thursday. Missed a 5 footer for par on 18.

The quest for breaking 80 continues.

Have Stewart creek and silvertip coming up next weekend.

Where are you going wrong on the blowups?
Tee shots OB? Short game?
Just curious

I don't discriminate on unforced errors. My 10 shotter went like this:

Lost drive in the woods
Duff 3w
Duff 3w
Iron short
Thin wedge over the green
Soft it onto the fringe
3 putt.

I have a tendency to fall apart after I string a couple bad shots together. Just glad it didn't carry on across holes!

The par 3 was similar

Water
Thin shot over the green
Wedge
3 putt

####ing golf lol.

I took a nine the other day, which was basically a comedy of errors. But my favourite part of golf is that it was sandwiched between two good pars.

Are people still playing in 8+ AQHI and the like? I haven't tried and probably won't... isn't it pretty miserable?

I can't recommend it. It didn't really bother me during the day but I just spent yesterday and last night coughing up a storm. Feel dumb for going now.

I'm similar and also trying to break 90, so I share your pain.

I think a big part of it is truly mental & being able to reset between shots so they don't compound.
I also tend to rush by the end of a bad hole because I feel like I'm taking too long progessing the ball. Then it just contributes to bad play around the green & too many putts as I try to rush through finishing up.

Anyone played Sandpiper near Chilliwack BC?

Going there today for a couple nights. No one else in our travel group golfs but I'd feel wasteful literally staying at the course & not going out.

Sandpiper is an absolute gem. Lots of other things to do out there as well including hot springs. Would recommend playing if you can

Just finished my round.
Was pretty much the only person on the course, finished in under 3 hours.
Great course, really enjoyed that round.

Shot a 92, which ties my PB. Only 33 putts which is a massive improvement for me as not long ago I was regularly using over 40 putts per round.
But none of my friends will believe me of course, since I played solo,

Anyone have a source for the cheapest way to get some clubs re-gripped / extended here in town? I have one I know I need to do shortly and I'm thinking about getting a few others done while I'm at it.

I used the Grip Garage recently for a few minor repairs. He works out of his garage in the deep SE. Pricing was good. As was quality.

I typically do my own grips, just didn't have time this spring.

I think I just have to use Golf Town; the cost of an extension is $10/club instead of $15/club everywhere else.
